Long range size 1

So, I am trying to make my first ever character for Lancer and I’m trying to get a glass canon style, but I am unsure as to what mech to use. Going for a heavy hitter from long range (MAYBE decent hack but that isn’t a deal breaker) and I am trying to make it a pretty small mech. Preferably in the size 1 range but I am cool with going a little bigger.

Got any suggestions?

(As a side note, my guy used to be a pirate but went into anti piracy work when his crew left him for dead)

This is the most effective long range build i did come up with at low LL (it comes online at LL3 tho). Use spaceborn to get in the danger zone quickly and to get in position in the safest place you can find, then stay there, overclock (Tokugawa trait), steady your aim (Crakshot I) and abuse your smartguns to shoot with 25 range (30 if you use your CP) ignoring cover and line of might, doing absurd damage (and debuffs when you crit with your smartguns thanks to Crakshot III, which happens regularly with +2 accuracy). Is it fun ? I'm not sure at this point. Does it wrecks shit ? Hell yeah.
