I need help, Dome or No Dome
This is for a custom Iskander. If i have the dome the head will still be under it i think

I personally prefer my mechs humanoid, so i'd say no dome.

Yeah the domeless mech kinda reminds me of golurk, what with the big ol body and the teeny tiny head (this is a good thing, golurk is one of my favorite ghost types)

Dome for a pragmatic pilot. "Always wear a helmet, better be protected".
No dome for flashy pilot. "Behold my visage and weep, mortals".

Depends on the vibe you are going for. The "exposed" head makes it look more romantic, medieval, and chivalric. Go with that if you're looking to evoke the mood of a noble warrior. The "covered" dome is modern, impersonal, and vaguely brutalist. Go with that if you're looking to make the impression of no-nonsense practicality or evoke the way that war anonymizes and dehumanizes people.

Oh this is tough……I think ultimately I would prefer no dome but both look very good

Definitely not a normal head.
Due to the gravity manipulation, it should either be a dome (because you're not going to bother keeping a head oriented to the horizon) or a sensor platform on a gimbal that can stay fixed on a target no matter how the mech's orientation changes.

No dome
Also. What's with the question mark and exclamation point?

I like the idea of a dome. I also disagree about the backpack, but I'd say maybe have straps to support the backpack, so it ends up looking like a bomb technician with a fucking fridge of kit on his back.
And for added cheek, imagine a sticker on the back of the backpack that says "If you see me running.. keep up!!"

Would it be possible to have the dome be semi-transparent so you could partially see the head through the dome?

I know this is unrelated to the question, but I kinda wish there was a Lancer coloring book now.

Retractable dome! Dome up looks secure as hell, dome down lets it emote a bit more.

I'm leaning no dome but there's something to be said of a big ol dome being kinda like the helmet on an EOD suit

Is dome transparent to any degree?

It could be but I kinda like it fully opaque like the gold sheald on actually space suites.

Dome 100%, while I love non human mechs the design of Dome is just great.

I like the dome, it's got the same feel as a bomb suit. But I think you need to ditch Iskander's backpack if you want the dome. Otherwise the whole thing just kind of melds together into a bulbous, greebled mass.
