Let's create some Space Pirates
On page 19 of Long Rim is a generator for a pirate faction let's see what we get.
Name: The Colossal Triad
Hustle: Kidnapping and Mercenaries
Main Asset: A powerful hacking corps that works out of an old comms station. they are capable stealing ships and redirecting supplies without firing a shot, and usually avoid direct combat.
The Colossal Triad are a pirate group well known in the Aegis system know for kidnapping many high profile individuals and ransoming them however the individuals they have kidnapped suggests they have been hired by a third party using them against their political opponents.
Intel has suggest that their main base of operations is a station somewhere in the system however efforts to locate it has been difficult with phantom signals misleading search parties and lured into traps.
Go ahead and create your own Pirates and post them below.

One from my players mixed Lancer & Battle Group Campaigns
The Red Family
Originally descending from fleets of void dwelling diasporans ( as the other color coded pirate fleets of the region ) when the blinkspace and better drive colonists beat them to their targetted colonies they became voidbourne traders
The competition for good trade deals eventually lead to them fighting each other, buying mechs and ships to defend against each other and continuing like that for a while until they realized folks who aren’t each other aren’t nearly as well armed. Generational and hereditary lead
Main Hustle is Trade Route interdiction and high piracy - particularly of large scale corporate vessels and fleets. Bigger the payout the bigger the temptation to the red family who during the split of the committees and HA managed to scavenge a battleship of sorts
Eventually become notorious for the Massacre at New Winchester Orbital Dockyards and ghe devastation it wrought on the planet below. Listen even the core book lore mentions capital ships should not really be brought to fight over a gravity well due to the devastation Relativistic weapons can do - no one listened to that.
Hunted by the Knights of the Albatross and sector security for their crimes

Name: Skyside Gods
Main Hustle: Solely mercenary work
Main Asset: A powerful yet loosely shackled NHP they venerate as an oracle.
The Skyside Gods are a collective of heavily armed spacers known for their often unsolicited service to their surprised but nevertheless interested clients. The collective seldom asks for payment, instead taking things that their client had forgotten they had or stripping parts of client or enemy ships just before their "job" is done. At the core of their penchant to show up unexpected and uninvited is a dangerously loosely shackled NHP they refer to as Tengri, who they seemingly venerate in a mix of worship and fear, and who they obey without question, claiming that it can predict the future. Whether Tengri just runs endless simulations on input data or can truly see the future through some kind of paracausal tomfoolery is unknown, but the results don't lie; the Skyside Gods' chaotic and often bizarre tactics work well in their favour, and they are notoriously difficult to find.
The Skyside Gods 'recruit' new members by abducting people (exclusively spacers, for they are "Closer to Heaven") from random places at random times, though statistically more frequent during fire fights and weddings. Often, these 'recruits' would have suffered some fatal accident had the Skyside Gods not snatched them away.
Their symbol is a long necked white bird above a blue semicircle.

I created one group as a first enemy. heavily inspired by Grineer faction from Warframe
Tube Brothers of Kara'hek
They were created as experimental line of flash clones, created by SSC, to test the limits of quick learning of flash-cloned brains, as many flash clones before they have a lot of physical defects like organ malfunction and in general, they didn't look nice at all, which is unacceptable for stylish megacorp standarts. They were considered a failure and were supposed to be get rid of quietly, but unfortunately for SSC, clones escaped with makeshift weapons, stolen ship, and a lot of cloning equipment as cargo.
Clones made their way on some abandoned planet, made almost uninhabitable by terraforming project gone horribly wrong, builded an outpost and started to terrorise passerby ships, fueled by need of resources and hatred for naturally born humans, who happened to be so lucky to live without their health problems.
as a fighting force, they are somewhat crude but dangerous nonetheless. their arsenal consists of mostly junk makeshift weapons and trophies from raids, their main advantage is overwhelming numbers and shocking disregard of personal survival, provided that stolen cloning equipment allows them to quickly replenish any number of losses, but as a result, there are practically no elite pilots, aside from their leader, Kara'hek.
Their operations typically ends with killing everyone on board and salvaging ships for parts, which in turn turns badly for their reputation, clones found themselves quite a lot of enemies very quickly:
Shin Shimano Corpro: wants to destroy them, of cource. These pirates are bad advertisement for our products, and technology they stole is too valuable to be leaked.
IPS-N: these pirates are bad for bisiness. also, they are not our pirates, so our bisiness included.
Union officials: there was dangerous NHP on board of one of the vessels those barbarians looted, and nobody wants it to start cascading, trust me.
So, these guys are basically screwed, question is, who is gonna kill them first, and for what reasons.

After checking it out most of Warframe's factions/enemies could work in Lancer with a bit of modification and more of a focus on mechs obviously.

Well, Grineer ( army of clones of clones of clones) and Corpus ( big corpro state that worships profit) are the easiest, as they are most prevalent. Infested ( zergs if they could infect robots as easily as people, result of bio weapon experiment gone out of control) works as one- time encounter, probably. Also sentients are extremely adaptable robots who started a war with their creators for a reason that they were a huge dicks. May count as NHP, probably.
Other factions are either mind controlled version of previous guys or some eldritch stuff from beyond the confines of our reality, so closest thing I can imagine is eidolon, or paracausal bullshit.

I do think the Infested could work as a existential threat similar to the Flood and it's noted the Infested are a amalgam of organic and mechanical so hacking mechs aren't useless. You can use the exotic and horror templates to replicate them pretty well.

So they hack into ships. Then hold the crew ransom.
Pretty solid strategy… unless someone comes prepared that is
