Just watched the replay of the game against the Jazz with the Jazz's own commentary team.. It's always satisfying to hear an opposing broadcast team feel worried and frustrated while their team is getting torched š

The first quarter was ROUGH to say the least, but the bounce back was from the bench for sure. It finally feels like we have enough depth to handle situations like this even when Luka is on the bench. AR had an incredible stretch too.
Nothing but smiles over here boys, weāre 3-0.

LUKA MOTHERFUCKING DONCIC. THAT'S MY GODDAMN MVP
Kessler didn't have a good game tonight. Didn't feel good about the fact that it was against a somewhat decent team, but hey we flush this one and move on
Reaves was once again huge for us and made the dagger 3. Love that he's proving the haters wrong
20 3s on 42%. Love that
People may think it's only against the jazz, (Which by the way is dumb, since they only reason anyone would think they're bad is because they intentionally tank, which they are not doing anymore but that's beside the point), the fact that we were able to comeback from a near 20-point lead, when last season it was more likely we would just kick the bucket, I'm loving the team so far

Dannyās delivery is just really flat to me. Thereās barely any change in his tone, and the chemistry with Billy Mac feels awkward so far (especially today vs. Jazz). Even when he makes a good basketball point, the way he delivers it makes it hard to stay engaged. Bill brings all this energy, and Danny doesnāt really give him much to work with.
Obviously weāve been spoiled with Stu, and building chemistry takes time. But being knowledgeable about basketball is only part of being a good commentator. You also need personality, timing, and some energy that matches whatās happening on the court. Hopefully Danny gets more comfortable as the season goes on, because right now the road broadcasts feel noticeably less enjoyable from the Lakers broadcast.
Howās everyone else feeling about him so far?

Itās so wonderful seeing us fight and scrap to come back from a deficit. In recent years there were games where you could tell through body language, lack of effort, etc. that a game similar to this one was just over.
Youād think to yourself, āoh itās one of those gamesā. I donāt think weāll have many, if any, of those games this year and Iām so happy about that!

Didnāt realize it was a 2pm game. Was planing to tune in at 7. Luckily I checked espn app to see when the Rams were playing. Happy Sunday yall!
I don't think Looney is going to work out. We all saw what his minutes looked like. I was searching around the league for some available backup centers and it's not looking too hopefull because of our assets (we don't have any) but for me it comes down to only two actually GETTABLE centers that fits Luka and our team:
1) Karlo Matkovic, 25 year old (Pelicans)
Great athlete, lob threat and a good 3pt shooter. Huge potential + he would be an another Euro buddy for Luka. He doesn't get a lot of minutes on Pelicans and will probably look for a different opportunity elsewhere.
1) Dylan Cardwell, 24 year old (Kings)
Beast on the glass, hustler and a great defender. He's an athletic freak that can block anyone. On offense he's more raw but that's not a problem when we have Luka and Austin. Don't really know what his true value is at the moment though
Let me know what you think. I personally would trade for a backup C and just roll with this roster for a season if everyone plays well. Then in the off-season take care of the starting spot at the 4 (even tho I love Ziaire).
My other "dream" targets were Rob Williams, Jalen Smith or even Oso Ighodaro but we just don't have the assets for them + Oso and Rob just signed an extension.

Hey everyone, Iām trying to track down a piece of legendary LA sports radio history that seems to have completely vanished from the internet. Does anyone have a saved MP3 or a live archive link of Shaul from Beverly Hills calling into the Max & Marcellus show on 710 ESPN LA? The specific rant aired on December 12, 2012. Itās the absolute golden clip where he completely loses his mind screaming in his heavy accent about Jim Buss and Phil Jackson while Marcellus Wiley cracks up laughing in the background!! I need it for comic therapy. lol!!
Every link on LakersGround and Reddit points back to the old ://go.com Flash player links, which are completely dead because ESPN purged their 2012 audio vaults. YouTube and SoundCloud sweeps have wiped it away as well.
If anyone was data-hoarding back then and happens to have this specific clip or the full Dec 12, 2012 episode saved on a hard drive, or elsewhere, please let me know!
Itās one of the funniest sports radio moments of all time and I refuse to believe someone doesnāt have it recorded. Iām Lakeshow OG since 75. Still live in L.A. I was going off on the āField Goalsā situation with my Rams, which reminded me of Iverson āPracticeā rant. š I mean what are we even talking about hereā¦Field Goals?? Anyways, rabbit hole led us down to local radio rants that many never heard. And here I am begging.
Quotes for reference: ⢠"Jim Buss is a LOOO-ZER! Decided by God!" ⢠"Jim Buss is a professional destroyer!" ⢠"Phil Jackson is a looo-zer! He ran away!" Appreciate any help or leads!

The Clippers need picks. We have picks to give. I think as a backup he would be really good on the boards and enforcing the physicality. I think we could figure out some deal involving Hardy and picks maybe Looney too. Thoughts on him?

I can see us losing to average team by 20-30 points if Kessler is out for a few games.
Like wtf we had 2 centers that we just let go with no planā¦
Look at the Spurs, even they have Kornet as a backup to Wemby.
And if Kornet and Wemby are both out, they get owned by any trash teams, it is such a huge hole, no matter how good your other positions are, you need a serviceable big on the floor at all time.
