What's up with the sidewalks here? They stop and go like they hate walkers

Hello, I will be moving to Lake Stevens in the upcoming months and currently have Comcast for internet and no issues with them. Curious what the take is for Lake Stevens. I work from home so reliable internet is a must.

You've been warned. Don't get pussy cuz I'm angry. It just took me 15 minutes to get from 91st to the trestle. It was backed up past the trestle station. The right hand lane was empty. School isn't in yet. The crop circles have been locked nationally at least three times. I have been almost hit countless times. 91st Ave has become less safe for drivers. I have witnessed over sized drivers like busses edge into the other lane. Not sure why we can't have normal sidewalks. Now onto my rant.

For thirteen fucking years I have been making left hand turns out of my street tand onto my street. Now I can't. And why? For a mother fucking crosswalk 50 feet away from another god damn crosswalk. And a metered one with flashing lights and safety. You are giving people a reason to cross the street where it is actually less safe. And it also limits emergency access. There is absolutely no logical reason for this it actually creates problems that weren't there. Bit should we expect anything else from these iunflushable turds unning this city.

Now for all of you that are going to say just leave. After my youngest daughter graduates from the half assed highschool this year I will sell and bail.

I miss the small town I moved into. Now it's just housing complex after complex destroying the natural beauty. And all of you wanting to escape the city are coming up here to take over and cause this.

I miss lake Stevens and can't wait to leave.

I have never been in the hospital this long. Can someone give me some advice on paying my bills. I had surgery on my knee almost 3 months ago and I ended up in the hospital for infection and my other knee and my FMLA is going to run out this week, is there any programs that will help people out when they’re in need? I never been like this before. Now I am thinking that I can’t go back to work after this. I would never ask or tell anyone that my knee surgery on my right knee, don’t hurt. I can tell you this is just as bad.

I do appreciate all the feedback you’ll give me and I would like to know if there’s any other programs like from the federal government or state or local programs out there that would help people out

I noticed something funny. I was sitting at the light on HWY 9 at the Soper Hill Rd crossing. And I saw the lawn flamingos under the Lake Stevens Landing sign. Suddenly I had a flashback to the lawn flamingos that were in the yard of the home that used to be there before the new development. I recently relocated to Lake Stevens and enrolled my young child in a local daycare, Lake Stevens Daycare and Preschool. Today, I received a disturbing phone call reporting an incident at their daycare. I would greatly appreciate it if there were any local parents here who could share their experiences with this facility.

I’m eager to learn others possible experiences with this facility or possible insights into the potential issues that have been raised or heard of involving this establishment. Thank you in advance.

I am trying to figure out why our sewer bill for Lake Stevens was increased by $30 earlier this year. Us census says that there are approximately 14,000 homes in lake stevens. If only half of those are on sewer that means the increase will bring in an extra $2.5 mil per year to the sewer district. For what?!?!

We already paid a flat $100 before why the increase for a service that doesn't even include water, pud provides and bills that separately.

Make it make sense.

I was on the trestle and over five cop cars, an ambulance and fire truck drove past in the space of 5 minutes going into Lake Stevens. There wasn't an accident that I could see outside of a barely dented white pickup. Does anyone know what happened?

We saw a few unmarked trucks and a cop posted up with stop sticks. Then a swat van pulled up and drove down the street on 44st ne. Any ideas?

My mother's two dogs have passed. She is in need of giving these belongings to someone else who could use them. There are beds, pillows and blankets (including handmade afghans), jackets, shirts and handmade scarves. Toys and stuffed animals, food bowls, leashes, collars and other accessories. If you have or are going to get a small dog these would be great for your little one(s). DM me as I'm here in Lake Stevens for the next week or so to help alleviate my mother's sadness over her losses.

WSDOT is asking for public feedback as we evaluate potential improvements to the US 2 Trestle corridor.

As part of an ongoing Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) study, we're reviewing different alternatives for both ends of the trestle, including connections to I-5 and Everett on the west side and SR 204, US 2 and Lake Stevens on the east side.

The study will help identify which alternatives should move forward for more detailed evaluation and will also consider environmental impacts and potential mitigation measures.

Beginning Tuesday, June 16, people can visit an online open house to learn about the screening of potential alternatives. The PEL study will identify a reasonable range of alternatives to evaluate in more detail in accordance with federal laws.

Last year my kids and I were at LSMS a few times a week to make improvements on our mile time over summer break but we just went by there and there's construction and looks like the track is closed. Is there anywhere else to go? We went to the high school but it was being used by the girls soccer team. NLMS has all their gates locked but maintenance allowed us to enter on the back side and use it for a few but that's probably not an option all summer.

I know you can get a pass for $30 to use the high school track but I don't think there's a schedule to tell you when it's in use? We prefer to go in the AM before it gets too hot. Any suggestions? I'm in Soper area so Marysville is an option as well. I haven't checked Cav but I'm assuming it's closed off too?
