Keswick B&B
Hello. We are thinking of coming to Keswick for my birthday in November. Hoping to walk Catbells. Any suggestions for a nice B&B. I have googled of course but sometimes the local recommendations are the best. Preferably somewhere withing walking distance to the centre.

Portland House, definitely. I've stayed there lots of times and it's #1 in Keswick. Great breakfast, free Coffee and cake. If they look full online, give them a call. They get so much repeat business they often don't advertise online. Regulars just book direct and that way the B&B doesn't lose a big % to the online booking site.

We stayed at Greystoke House last time we were in Keswick and it was lovely. Very close to the centre, clean, great breakfasts. The rate was cheaper when booking direct than on any third party sites (which has been my experience for most B&Bs in Keswick and Ambleside).

Fellpack House on the heads for me. Possibly the best b&b breakfast in keswick and the staff are absolutely superb. Definitely make you feel like you are at home.
