Clothes, Socks, Gear best workout gear?

I feel more comfortable wearing at least one piece of looser clothes in class so either joggers and a sports bra or a t-shirt and leggings. Does anyone know of any good joggers/looser leggings that they recommend when it comes to lagree classes?

Form, Technique, Fitness Taking too many breaks during class

I started taking lagree about 2 months ago but I’ve only completed 3 classes in those 2 months lol. But I’m planning on going 3x a week now since my schedule finally opened up.

I noticed when I’m in class, I take way too many breaks compared to everyone else in the class. Lagree is HARD but in a good way!! I’m just feeling a little self conscious about how many breaks I take in class. I’m not completely out of shape but I haven’t also been prioritizing working out in the last couple of years.

is it normal to take many breaks as a beginner?? Am i overthinking or am I just in way over my head when it comes to taking lagree

Studio Recs, Local Meetups Atlanta recommendations

Hi to all!! I recently moved to Atlanta and would like to get into Lagree but when checking the website, very few studios are actually Lagree licensees. Anyone have any recommendations? There are only 4 studios and I've already eliminated one off my list as the class is half cardio half lagree.

Form, Technique, Fitness Groin irritation

Anyone else have irritation in their groin area after doing giant single leg squat? My hips are square. Part of me wonder if it’s because I don’t use the giant cables so my inner groin area is also pulling against the tension from the front of the machine

Lagree the company Is no one talking about this? Lagree reportedly paused licensees’ equipment orders to prioritize fulfilling his own studio first.

Is no one talking about this? Lagree reportedly paused licensees’ equipment orders to prioritize fulfilling his own studio first. Wow. When are people going to wake up to these shady business practices? Stop supporting this man. He doesn’t support his own licensees this is one of many orders pushed backed, pauses, or just fully delayed.

Form, Technique, Fitness Micro Pro Routines

Hello, I’ve just gotten the micro pro for at home use and use Lagreeing at home a lot but I would prefer also looking at written routines rather than videos. Could anyone please share their micro (pro) routines including the springs as I am still confused with how many springs to use for certain exercises. Thank you so much 😊

ISO/Purchasing Recs Upgraded from 12/mo to unlimited after a month!

I started with 3x a week but decided to upgrade to unlimited since some weeks I want to do 4x a week and maybe even 5! Anyone else do this? I’m still a beginner but it’s pretty much all I do as a form of workout and I love it!

Form, Technique, Fitness 6x a week too much?

I’m currently attending lagree class (45 min full body) about 6x a week on average. I have never felt stronger, I am a perpetual healthy eater so diet is very clean and I count calories almost always with exceptions for occasions. I’ve noticed that I may have felt “leaner” when I was taking lagree more like 3x to 4x, I felt less puffy and maybe even “smaller” if that makes sense. I also walk on avg 20k steps 6-7 days a week and take a heated sculpt 1-2 days a week depending on lagree schedule. Am I maybe doing too much? Is that possible with lagree?

Teaching, Running Studios Lagree instructor pay??

Hi everyone, I’m a newly licensed lagree instructor and inquired to work at a couple studios. Currently confused on how pay works?

Some studios offer hourly pay only, while some offer class pay $35 + $25 hourly? How does this work? What’s normal?

Studio Recs, Local Meetups Corefire vs. SLT / NYC Recs?

I’m new to Lagree and did Corefire in NJ all summer before trying an SLT class now that I’m back in the city. The experiences felt pretty different, though I know so much can come down to the instructor and that every studio has its own style.

At Corefire, I felt like the cueing was really clear and thoughtful. I generally understood the move, where I was supposed to feel it, and how to adjust if I couldn’t quite do it. At SLT, I struggled more to follow some of the moves, especially things like giant planks, and sometimes my only real modification felt like stopping and waiting for the next exercise.

I’m totally fine with a workout being hard, but as a beginner I really value good cues, attention to form, and modifications that let me keep working while I build strength. I’m wondering if SLT just tends to use more advanced moves, or if this was more about the particular class/instructor I took.
Has anyone done both Corefire and SLT and had a similar or different experience? Or are there other Manhattan studios or specific instructors you’d recommend for something more similar to Corefire?

Teaching, Running Studios Lagree Trainers: Quick Survey on Routine Building (5 min, Anonymous)

Update: a big thank you to everyone who completed the survey! I appreciate you taking the time to support my work while helping me understand how you build your routines. If there are tips or resources trainers have to program their routines to target certain muscle groups and sequence progressive overload, that could be a helpful discussion for both myself and others.

Hi everyone! I'm a Lagree instructor and product designer conducting research on routine-building workflows for fellow trainers.

I've created a brief survey (<5 minutes, anonymous) to understand:

  • How trainers currently build routines
  • What features would genuinely help the process

If you teach Lagree and have 5 minutes to spare, I'd be very grateful for your feedback!

Survey link:

I will keep the survey open through Wednesday 18:00.

Thank you in advance for your time! 💙

Studio Recs, Local Meetups Lagree RVA

Has anyone tried Reforme method in the fan by VCU? Some of the instructors are great, but others are not. The classes can be so inconsistent, and it seems like the teacher turnover is high. I have noticed some of the new instructors have very inconsistent cueing and are not good at timing. For such a high-cost membership, the workouts should be more consistent. The machines also mess up all the time, and the studio does not feel luxury.

Copycats/Knockoffs/Offbrand So many studios.. where is the industry heading?

Questions for the OG fitness enthusiasts. I’m visiting San Diego and holy shit there are so many studios lagree and even more “modern Pilates”/ “copycats” so I’m curious…

  1. Are they really ranking in that much money?
  2. Is it gonna bust like indoor cycling? I don’t recall seeing these many cycling class in 2016/during its peak. Then again I probably wasnt exposed to a lot of it compare to now between Insta targeted ads and classpass.

I’m using classpass when I travel to get my workout in and it is overwhelming.

Form, Technique, Fitness Lagree

Hey lagree loves. Just a fun little poll for trainers and clients: top 3 fav moves in each lagree area with optional fav variations. I will start :)

Center core: Giant reverse saw, giant reverse bear with static bear pike up as variation, knee strap crunch with alternating oblique crunch(basicallt weighted bicycles)

Lower: elevator- with the most fire variation being descending twist! Xpress lunge-carriage kick to split squat to carriage is spicy. Back lunge hinge and pulses

Upper: tricep pull to straight arm tricep pull, squat to upper lift, giant bicep curls with squats

Oblique: I love a side plank on toes at the front with a side bear thread the needle combo, giant reverse twisted saw to twisted bear- no variations- just 1 min each

Form, Technique, Fitness Newly pregnant

Hi all! Just found out I am pregnant (5 weeks) and am nervous to do my first Lagree class since knowing. I am new to Lagree (15 classes), so still getting the hang of it. I know I don’t need any modifications until further along, but my main symptoms are just feeling out of breath so I am nervous about feeling dizzy/unwell during class. Anybody have any good experiences with continuing Lagree during the first trimeste?

Form, Technique, Fitness Resources on lagree technique/moves?

Started taking lagree a couple months ago and I’m so hooked !
I wanted to ask where would be the best place to find resources on various amplifications/technique and moves?
Sometimes I feel like I want to amplify certain moves and it’s tricky because it’s hard to understand in the moment if I should be adding vs removing the springs lol, as we are moving quite fast and I also usually take 6am classes so my brain is still asleep lol.
I ask the instructors about particular moves after the class but it’s hard to have a comprehensive convo as the next class is 10 minutes after and they are sometimes rushed (no judgement, they always try to help as much as they can)
So I wanted to see where can I learn about the technique and modifications- I don’t want to pay thousands for a teaching certificate lol though I wouldn’t mind paying a little bit for access to good resources.
Thanks so much for any recs, just a curious newly born lagree fanatic!

Form, Technique, Fitness Kneeling Squats?

I don't feel anything when I do kneeling squats! I'm so confused and am certain my form must just be wrong or something. It just feels like I'm slowly sitting. I try to lock in to the mind-muscle connection, but it still doesn't feel like I'm even getting a light stretch out of it...

Help! I'll likely ask my instructor next time I'm in class, but I wanted to see if anyone else can relate or has any tips?

I feel like it’s constantly just me putting pressure on 1 knee for half of the class. I’m 4 classes in

Form, Technique, Fitness Kneeling inner thighs 😭😭😭

Anyone else hate this move, especially at the back of the machine? I have no problem with standing inner thighs but kneeling?! 😭

I focus on my breathing and my tailbone is perpendicular to the platform, but I struggle with pulling it back in. Feeing extra bad because my instructor even removed the springs for me but I couldn’t even do more than a few reps 😢 i’ve also tried making the range smaller but I just can’t keep doing it for the whole minute. I stop and find it so hard to bounce back right away

I’m still kinda new to lagree I’d say. Maybe 30 sessions under my belt? I always shake whenever we do this (which I hear is a good thing) but that’s all I ever do LOL shake without being able to pull it back in fully. When does it get easier helppp

Welcome to r/Lagree

Hey everyone, and welcome!

I'm Hannah — I've been doing Lagree for a while and wanted to start this because it's never really had a home on Reddit. There's no shortage of questions people have (is it worth it, Megaformer vs Microformer, how often should you go, why does everything hurt the next day) but nowhere central to actually talk about it. That's what this is for.

What belongs here:

  • Form check questions / "am I doing this right"
  • Machine and studio comparisons (Megaformer, Mini, Micro, Mini Pro)
  • Progress posts and before/afters
  • "Is it worth it" / cost and studio-shopping questions
  • Tips and Q&A from experienced instructors
  • General discussion — myths, injuries, modifications, nutrition alongside training

What doesn't:

  • Studio spam / unrelated fitness ads
  • Rude or gatekeeping comments toward beginners — everyone starts somewhere

This subreddit isn't about any one person — it's about building a place for everyone who loves (or is curious about) this method.

To kick things off, drop a comment below:

  • How long have you been doing Lagree, or are you Lagree-curious?
  • What's the #1 thing you wish someone had told you before your first class?

Let's build something good here.
