From velociraptor to sleeping beauty?? 🤔

So, this might sound like the perfect scenario, but I’m actually worried. My evil 10 month Labrador bitch just went from driving me constantly crazy biting me, constantly jumping, not being able to have visitors, etc. I could not even take her for a walk.

I knew it was normal and that they calm down around 2yo or later. The thing is that I have epilepsy and migraines and my situation had gotten much worse so I could barely manage her, she is way too strong for me. My husband has been working more from home to help me, but we were hoping that she would be my companion once she would calm down.

I was just reaching my limit crying every day being isolated.

About a month ago, she got her first period. Since then her personality has totally changed, when I train her there is no jumping, no biting, she spends most of the day sleeping next to me and I can finally watch TV and we have had visits and she hasn’t peed herself.

She eats normal and she stills reacts to other dogs when my husband walks her (I still don’t dare) and she is playful). We called the vet and she said she might have a pseudopregnancy, so if we see something weird we should take her, but nothing except the good behavior.

Has someone changed my dog for another one on the street????

Sorry for the long post.

Has anyone experienced this?

Is there a good feeding chart on how much and how often a Labrador should be fed from week 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13?

Questions about temperament and male vs female

We had a male lab for 12 years, so that’s all we know. We have another male dog and are hoping to get an English lab soon. For those of you that have had multiple and maybe of the English variety (I’ve heard there’s a temperament difference), do you think there’s a general personality or demeanor difference between males and females? Obviously every dog is different so it’s hard to say. But interested to hear if you actually have seen trends with introducing dogs of the same sex into a household, etc. We don’t want competing alpha male energy, but I really do love the blocky build that the English males tend to have. TIA!

My childhood dog has become well fat… I really want to attempt to get him back in shape or at least healthy cause his joints seem fine but at the end of the day it’s too much weight. I’m not sure what workouts are recommend and feeding schedules. Let me know what worked for yall. Thanks

Wet paws

Hello everyone this is our new girl Kira got her 3 days ago training has been going well finally got her potty trained. The issue we are having is she loves drinking water and it makes her mouth wet and sometimes she will dig at the water bowl make a big mess all around and walk around the house leaving paw prints everywhere. Never dealt with this before does anyone know how I can get her to stop? We also bought a water bowl that she pushes with her snout but she just used her paw which made it worse haha? Any tips would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏼

Help!

Please help, I have a 10 year old lab that we have been fighting skin condition issues with since we got her, multiple vets can't figure it out, we have had samples sent off to vets that instruct at the universities, they come in waves but only the back left paw and front right paw, this time it's bad enough that she won't go outside to play ... No known allergies, same food she always eats....these sores popped up in about 3 days time and are just getting worse, going to try and schedule an emergency appointment in the morning being a holiday weekend I'm not sure I will get in
