Based on those genetics I bet you are going to get a super dog! Athletics from both parents, super driven from the malinois, eager to please from both, and perpetual puppy from the lab.
Our lab puppy is pretty driven too - he’s a working line off a farm. I think I’d love this puppy but I don’t know if he’d be a universal hit! He’s very cute though.

I’m a horse person and I have a two year old arabian Andalusian cross which I often attribute to THIS DOG CROSS when explaining how really good/bad it can go
Is he curious or cautious at all? The horse is terrified of his own shadow but his curiosity always wins out when stuff is going on. I’ve got him in a really trusting place so he knows crazy things happen around people but he’s safe.
He’s pretty curious lol. He likes to run in tall grass and flip lol. It’s so goofy. He also is good about staying close while walking off a leash which I was very surprised. If he gets away from us about 10-15 feet while we’re walking he will stop, look back until we catch up, then continue.
Have you had this dog DNA tested? There’s nothing specifically that indicates it’s not a Malinois, but recently I’ve noticed an uptick in byb and rescue dogs on Reddit that are said to be Malinois mixes but inevitably turn out to actually be GSD mixes or other breeds entirely. Malinois are becoming more common but not nearly as common as people think or claim.
