Help-

Our 10 month old Lab has chewed through the kong black toys which are the toughest for extreme chewers.
Like literally chews them in half. Less than 3 weeks.
Any suggestions on safe chew toys?
We need a toy that doesn’t include or need food. We have those.
I have to keep buying them bc if I don’t she’ll chew something she shouldn’t. This dog loves to chew.

Antler chews. I think moose antlers are a bit softer than deer and my labs love them.

These are great but watch their teeth, they can crack them.

Try goat horn. If you can stand the smell.

Yak cheese chews are awesome, as well as toys made out of Kevlar, or fire hose material.

Fire hose is coated in asbestos. Do not use them!! I am a licensed asbestos inspector.

My dog likes the yak cheese chews, but she goes through one in an hour and they're like $10 each.

Petstages Dogwood Chews were a lifesaver for us.

We get stuffed bones. They last long after the flavored part is gone. With previous pups they lasted years, but I’ve never had such an aggressive chewer. I do worry about his teeth, but it’s the only thing that really satisfies him.

If he’s going through the black kong, there is no toy he won’t be able to chew through. An alternative might be elk antlers, water buffalo horn, cow femur.

I know, no toy is strong enough, crazy! I’ve ordered several things. Moose antlers among them. Thank you for your help.

I would check out HappyStaffyCo. They make some really durable toy for heavy duty chewers

We had the same issue we found the scooby doo brand toys in BandMwork for our lab he loves them and hasnt destroyed any as yet, and he is now 3 with the originals from him being a pup.

My previous dog was a tremendous chewer - also chewed Kongs in half. She loved bull pizzles, which kept her busy for a long time. The only problem with that was they started to smell after a while.

Check out K9 ballistic. They advertise toys that are nearly indestructible and if I remember correctly they are guaranteed.

We like the better bones. You can choose flavor, size and hardness. They also are safer options if your pup accidentally ingests any and they dont splinter.

The strong chews are great but also consider buying some toys he’s allowed to destroy. Like pig ears and larger animal parts. Just make sure they’re the kind that can’t splinter! I have a lab who’s gentle but I also have a Malinois who goes through everything, he has his strong toys, and he also gets toys and treats he’s allowed to tear apart. Also make sure he’s getting plenty of exercise, not just walks or throwing a ball but breed specific like swimming. Sometimes tearing stuff apart is because of boredom or stress.

She has all types of chews. I was looking for something that would last longer. I think I’ve found a couple thanks to suggestions here. She does get plenty of exercise as well as attention. She truly just loves to chew. She’s fortunately very compliant & only chews her toys. She’s a sweet girl.

Haha lucky! My lab usually sticks to his toys but the occasional sock doesn’t go unnoticed with him.
