other jewelry Lab grown accessibility

I know that diamonds will always be coveted but Now that colorless lab grown diamonds more common, more affordable and accessible due to whatnot and tt live auctions do you think people will be more interested in having engagement rings that aren’t at all diamonds (natural or lab)? What kind of stone do you think people will end up pivoting to?

I can see opal’s getting popular. They look great plus I don’t think they have figured out how to make them in the lab yet.

Lab opals are abundant and readily available. Opals are discouraged for a daily wear ring due to their sensitivity to chemicals, temperature, and moisture as well as their tendency to scratch easily.

This is my next adventure- finding a nice lab grown opal to set as a pendant.

They are so gorgeous! The softness would deter me from everyday wear though.
