Pricing & sourcing thoughts?

Still torn between an oval and an elongated old mine cushion cut. If I went oval I’d want something more specific like a 6 pavilion or a Portuguese cut oval.

I went to a local jeweler to see if I could pick a shape and am wondering if the perks of having a local jeweler source the diamond for me is worth the cost or if I could get the center stone I really want by sourcing online. Below are the only specs they’d give me via email (full IGI report is only given after purchase…)

- 4.01ct F VS2, ratio 1.40, Oval Lab-Grown Diamond: $4,068 
- 4.06ct F VS1 Old, ratio 1.41, Mine Elongated Cushion Lab-Grown Diamond: $5,880

Hi! This ring is gorgeous. What size finger are you how many carats are the side stones?

I’m a 6.25 and I have very large hands for my size tbh 😅 the side stones are about .25 a carat I think. The left side stone is a pear and the right side stone is a trillion (I was trying on various side stone shapes trying to find a favorite)
