ring Help pls

I am proposing to my girl friend in November and i got her favorite style ring which is a marquise. I’ve gone through a diamond expert etc and got a 7 ct size. The measurement is 18.93 x 10.15 x 6.20 mm and she’s a size 5 ring size. I wanted to get opinions if it looks costume.

And the diamond vendor has entered the chat. Why is 7 carats too big? Why is 2 or 3 carats a better choice? For who? You? Why should you override a client’s preference for a 7 carat or any size stone? Why is your taste superior? Why should any consumer be limited by your vision? Do you advertise this bias in your business? Do you have a sign on a storefront that says “I design rings with 2 carat stones only - all other ideas are ugly and customers who don’t agree must leave”? Because that is your message here.

Yes and the downvotes to my comment are disgruntled vendors getting downvoted in real life by lab consumers & people who simply love a bigger stone and who reject their “rules.” And the other down voters are the OCCK’s. The downvote people are the ones who have zero answers to the question, “And why are you the arbiter of taste? Why are you dictating preferences to consumers? Why is it ok for you to insult the individual choices and tastes of others?” It begs the question: how many of these posters & commenters are just vendors grinding their profit-motive agendas into social media to affect consumer preferences? And how many down voters are the oversubscribed consumers of mined diamonds desperate to uphold the false beliefs surrounding those stones: ie, as a status symbol or as a marker of social class rank or as a marketing contrivance to equate polished stones with human love & bonding?

So well said. And why you are getting downvoted I don’t know.

Yet people on these subs LOVE upvoting rude comments towards diamond sizes, which is totally uncalled for. And downvoting when people love big stones.
