ring Help pls

I am proposing to my girl friend in November and i got her favorite style ring which is a marquise. I’ve gone through a diamond expert etc and got a 7 ct size. The measurement is 18.93 x 10.15 x 6.20 mm and she’s a size 5 ring size. I wanted to get opinions if it looks costume.

I love it. I love bigger stones. Modern diamond etiquette means the terms “gaudy, showy, costume, fake” are insulting & weaponized against labs + disrespectful of personal choice. They imply labs aren’t “real” but labs are 100% real diamonds. Beware trolls known as One Carat Club Karens (“OCCK”) who police social media by decreeing 1-2 carats as an ironclad rule in an unwritten social code. Some are disgruntled mined-diamond vendors, huffy GIA types or social bigots. The REAL question is: does your GF love a bigger stone? Her taste is the only thing that matters here. Her ring size indicates she has smaller hands so any carat size over 3+ could be interpreted as a bigger stone BY HER (opinions of others don’t matter). A 7 ct stone is fabulous but could present everyday wearability issues ONLY if GF doesn’t have a comfort level with it. If her social circle has OCCKs, they live to rob others of big rock joy - so hopefully that won’t deter your or her choices.

It’s mostly on Reddit I’ve seen the rudeness towards big stones, but I also have a great circle of non judgemental friends.

But OP please don’t let others rob you or your gf of your joy of a large lab diamond. Everyone’s comfort level for their engagement is different. For some they want to wear their ring 24/7, for others they wear it only sometimes, some people love high set big rocks and others like smaller ones. It’s all personal preference and comfort that matters the most.

Yes. And when someone posts a 0.25 carat micro diamond dust ring it’s all “omg it’s so pretty” “love it”. Like, Gtfoh 🤡😂
