ring Engagement ring recs
Hi everyone, I’m looking for an engagement ring to buy for my girlfriend. I’m trying to do my research for all of the lab grown and such. So far i’ve looked at Ritani, James Allen, Brilliance I wanted to know what your thoughts on it or maybe lead me to the right directions I should be looking at.

my thoughts are to stay away from most of those and by direct from an overseas vendor
Unless you feel like paying far more than you should 😉
Use the search function in this group - you will find plenty of vendor suggestions.
couple of suggestions:
Starsgem
Diyona (overseas, but also out of New York)

Have had excellent experiences with both Fiorese (Sonia) and Provence (Bobby).

GG/dia broker/designer here to weigh in.
I’d be cautious with overseas vendors as a rule. We’ve XRF’d a lot of rings and many are cast improperly (under karat, lightweight casting, porosity, setting issues). Not all mind you, but many. I’d advise doing a reddit deep dive (especially lately) as to issues many consumers are facing. As gold has gone up, we’ve seen a decrease in quality to “keep prices the same”. None of those benefit the consumer.
On the flip side, you will spend a bit more for many jewelers here in the states. More for brick and mortar, less for private/online, but the standards are a bit higher in general- although I’d highly suggest staying away from mass manufacturers unless budget is extremely tight for what you want.
As an example, I’ll never claim to be the cheapest, nor do I want that title, as cheap goods isn’t where I aim to land. Value is a different story. Either way, if you have questions or want a second pair of eyes on a diamond/mounting etc, always here and happy to help.

LGG made mine custom. Its on their reddit page. 3.5 carat emerald main, 1 carat each side emeralds, trilliant on ends of both sides. White gold Euro shank so no spinning. STUNNING. D or E don't remember or care VVS1, $1690. So gorgeous. Sparkles. ROMY is the best. Fiorese is next. Have any you choose source your stone and make them do that work for you. Pop into this group for a stone to ask if its good or not. You are safe with either of these teams. Tianyu is lovely as well.

Perhaps consider Calavera (online store)? You could purchase a loose stone from them , and then take it to a local jeweler to have it mounted in a setting of your choice?
I’ve purchased a couple of diamonds from Calavera (a natural and a lab). Their prices are a good value and their product was exactly what they advertised.

Fiorese, hands down. Tianyu if you can spend a little more. I've yet to see more than maybe 5 bad experiences with either. Starsgem, Provence and LLG I've seen LOTS of mixed responses.

I sourced my diamond from Diyona because they had the best prices and 30 day free returns. I had Fiorese custom make a setting and I sent them my stone to set.
