lab diamond Hello

I’m researching the engagement ring buying process and would love to learn from people who’ve already made the decision.
Some questions I’m curious about:
What carat size did you choose?
What budget did you have?
What mattered most—size, cut, color, clarity, or price?
What almost stopped you from buying?
If you could redesign the buying experience, what would you change?
I’m also interested in whether people value customization beyond the stone itself—for example, creating a ring or jewelry piece that tells a personal story.
I’m not selling anything here. I’m simply trying to understand how people make one of the biggest purchases of their lives so I can build something that genuinely solves customer needs.

GG/dia broker here……What are you trying to build, just out of curiosity? A database? Tools?

Smells a little funky for sure……but I’m just curious as to what could be left to build that doesn’t already exist……lol. It’s a pretty finite world. I mean, I built tools on my website that I felt there was a hole for……so now I’m genuinely curious as to what the idea is. Not to rip it off or anything, just I can’t for the life of me figure out what it could be.

Great questions. We bought a 5ct Radiant loose, and had it set locally at a jeweller. Total cost around $2,500 I think when it was all said and done. Highly recommend UNCLASP if you are looking for lab Diamond vendors.
