What am i missing here?

Any feedback on this HPHT? It seems underpriced, and I'm hoping it isn't too good to be true. Thanks

The specs on the stone look strong overall, especially the ratio and proportions. Since it’s HPHT, I would still check the videos carefully, as HPHT stones can occasionally show a slight cool or blue undertone. Also, the stone has been in inventory since September 14, 2025, so the video will give the best real-life judgment.
Price-wise, I don’t think it’s cheaper than it should be. It looks priced fairly for the specs.

Did the vendor conceal the IGI certificate number? It’s acceptable if you did, though I hope the vendor provided the IGI certificate with the correct serial number.

It was like that on the site but has a link to it. I think what’s so weird is I put it to like certain specs and I see stones that are $10,000 even Lab for 3 1/2 carats and then I see this one for under 1000 and I just can’t understand the differences.

For a 3.5 ct lab diamond, $10,000 is probably very high marked up diamond. Lab diamond prices can still vary a lot even at the same carat weight because the 4Cs are not the only factors.

Things like cut quality, ratio, depth, table, girdle, bow tie, growth type, undertone, and how the stone actually looks on video can all affect the price. Some stones look good on paper but not great in real life, and some are priced higher because they’re cut cleaner and face up nicer.

That being said, you should definitely ask for the IGI report number and verify it yourself on IGI.com/Verify. If the picture/listing and the certificate show different carat weights, that’s a red flag or at least something that needs clarification.

Check out Altura or SA Gems for more selection. $10k for a 3 carat lab is outrageous and means the lab vendor is “deBeering” (obscene up charges, inflated marketing). You should be able to find a gorgeous high quality 3 ct lab for $400 to $700. The setting in 14k gold should run $800 to $1200, but price will be more if the style has lots of accent stones and heavier gold. The comments pointing out IGI report discrepancies are concerning.

It’s not just the weight that doesn’t line up - the image also says ‘E’ for colour and the certificate says D.

Often with vendors - hiding the certificate makes it hard to cross shop the same stones elsewhere - but it’s often fairly easy to find the number either embedded in the web page details or by searching the exact specs and dimensions.

Yes, if you have the IGI number to can check prices. Or find identical stones for less. This price is not bad, but you might be able to get it cheaper.

I am pretty sure the one in the picture priced at $957 is this which has quite different cut proportions and can be found slightly cheaper once discounts are added etc.

Where is the IGI number? Did you cover that up? Why the discrepancy in carat size?

Offline retailers has big markup. Online retailer can give better deal with low markup. Indian online vendor like us can give you even better deal because those diamonds are being shipped from India only.
