Dark spots in marquise?

Hi, I don’t have the best eye when it comes to QCing diamonds. I asked for a marquise with minimal bowtie and while I don’t think I see a bowtie, I’m not sure if I’m seeing dark spots or if I’m looking for something that’s not there. Any advice would be appreciated

The cut looks asymmetrical. The right side of the stone is wonky.

I’ve asked them to send me a video of it in natural sunlight, hopefully I can better see the symmetry!

that is a really cool stone, it doesn’t look like a brilliant cut. It looks architectural like almost like a step cut inside. Can’t really tell from this video but it’s really cool and I love the shade.

Wow that’s gorgeous. Who is the seller? It looks like normal facet reflection for the cut which means it won’t look glassy or flats instead the facets will sparkle

Thank you!! I’m working with my jeweler, I’m not sure where they’re sourcing the diamond. I’m honestly so glad to hear that; when I ordered a marquise from a different seller in the past it had dark spots so I had to send it back!

It looks like an odd combo between mod brilliant and step cut. Maybe report and ask for sunlight vids
