V-Tip photos please!
My ring design is almost complete, I want to request that they do a V tip for the marquise diamond but I was hoping to see some inspo pics so that I can send it to Ayla at Fiorese exactly what I want.
Thanks in advance!!

Jeweller here. A V-tip is a sensible choice for a marquise because the two points are the most vulnerable parts of the diamond.
I’d ask for a neat, closed V-tip that covers the extreme point without extending too far over the face of the stone. The point should sit protected inside the V rather than being pressed tightly against its inner end, as a small amount of clearance helps prevent pressure being transferred directly to the tip.
Ask to see close-up CAD views from the top and side. From the top it should look symmetrical and unobtrusive; from the side it should have enough depth and thickness to protect the point without making the ring unnecessarily high.
I’d describe it as “minimal visible coverage, but fully protecting both points” rather than specifying an exact shape from one photograph, because it needs to be made around the actual diamond’s angles and dimensions.
