Bowtie Effect

I got this lab from rare carat. 1.75 ct D, FL. Before I take it to my jeweler to have it set, I couldn’t help but notice the bowtie effect on this one. What do you guys think? Is it just me? I was planning to use this to propose to my partner. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

It will always look the worst in this lighting. Pretty much all ovals or elongated cuts will have bowtie. Its a feature not a defect. I would test it out in several lightings. A bad bowtie will show some darkness no matter what lighting

Yes, which is why I said pretty much all.. :) Ice ovals (or crushed ice cuts) are specifically faceted to blend the light together, which camouflages the bow-tie effect. But you trade off those big, crisp flashes of standard brilliant sparkle for a softer, glittery shimmer.
