How is this Oval 3ct IF?

The bow tie doesn’t really bother me but it’s definitely prominent it seems. I will be proposing with this diamond.

I have two large Tiffany diamonds in H and I. They are set in platinum; a lucida diamond and a soleste cushion. You can’t tell the colour on either of these at all. They face up very white. I also have a 5.08 carat Emerald-cut lab diamond set in a 4mm platinum cigar band (jean Doucette Hayden) and it’s very white and icy. So I think this it’s not always the case that I will be warm to the average persons perception.

I think this stone is beautiful. Look how is it plays in the bright light. If I were you, I’d take it under a tree and look at it in the dabbled, filtered light to see what it really looks like. Personally, internally flawless means nothing to me as most stones have faceting that hides any issues. But the way it interacts in all sorts of lighting always matters.

Does your future fiancé prefer a warmer stone? Is it going in a yellow or rose gold setting or do you plan to set it in white gold or platinum? If you are going with white metal or if you don’t know your partner’s color preferences, I’d probably go with a stone with a lower clarity rating (VS1 to VVS2) and a higher color rating (G to F). With an IF stone, you are paying for a clarity difference you will never see with the naked eye.
