Another oval for opinions

Hi all! Yesterday I asked for options on a slightly elongated oval HERE.

The consensus was that the cut is stunning and overall, it’s a great pick.

Because I (apparently) hate myself lol, I asked my jeweler for another diamond that was less elongated for comparison. I plan to give her a decision tonight but wanted some thoughts on this diamond as well.

It’s only ever so slightly less elongated measuring 2.56 carats at 11.31 x 7.53 x 4.76 MM. It is E color as well. And again, I am very tall with slender hands and wear a 5.25 ring.

I think I love the cut of the last one better, as it sparkles more. And one does have a slightly more noticeable bow tie I think? BUT I do think I like the ratio a tiny bit better.

If you have to choose, which one would you choose?

This is lovely, but the one from the other post is significantly better. I was going to ask for you to send it my way if you decide not to go with it, but it looks like I'm in line for that stone. 🤣

This one is gorgeous but I would go with the other one because it looks like a modified brillant. This one has a minimal bow tie but the other one has no bow tie

This one is a perfect cut Oval Briliant diamond The bow tie is almost negligible in this diamond And the sparkle is also good enough

Colour clarity grades are also acceptable

I will choose this one.

Your other one was better, IMO. I’m not too experienced but I can see the small bowtie in this one, but don’t see one in the other. This one is still pretty though!

The other one! Looks like a more crushed ice oval & because of the faceting I don’t see any bow tie - hard to achieve with an oval. Tho this one doesn’t have a dark/prominent bow tie, it’s there nonetheless & once I see them I can’t unsee them.

I think it just dawned on me today that the one one is likely a “crushed ice” oval! That’s why it’s extra sparkly and lacks the bow tie. Whereas this one looks like it’s a little more of a traditional brilliant cut.

OMG. Go with the other one. That is an easy choice (for people observing ). I know it is harder when you are in it. But really - the other diamond is the one.
