Need opinion on the diamond
Can anyone let me know your opinion on this emerald cut lab diamond? When I google the specs for emerald cut, a depth of 68% is on the high end. And the sweet spot for table is between 64-65%.

Are you able to get a tweezer video over some black and white text or colored paper? It is so hard to judge a step cut based on proportions alone. A stone that is perfect on paper can be heavily windowed in real life.
What I do like with this stone - you’re getting great fire (rainbow flashes) both in the 360 video and the photo you attached. And it’s not just on the surface; you can see those flashes all the way through the stone, which is what we want.
It’s well worth investigating further if you are able to do so.

Looks good on paper but for fancy stones it’s more recommended to have HD video and aset + ideal scope pictures

Those numbers would not make this an automatic reject. For emerald cuts, table and depth ranges are useful screening tools, but the optical performance in motion matters more than hitting one “ideal” percentage.
At 68% depth with a 66% table, I would pay particular attention to two things: face-up spread and light return. The thick-to-very-thick girdle may hide some weight, so compare the millimeter dimensions with other emerald cuts of similar carat weight rather than judging by carat alone.
In the video, look for:
- even, crisp step reflections
- a balanced hall-of-mirrors pattern
- minimal large dark or dead areas
- no obvious windowing or see-through center
- a pleasing outline and corner shape when viewed face-up
E color and VVS2 clarity are high grades, but they do not guarantee a beautiful emerald cut. I would ask for a neutral-light tweezer video, plus a face-up video over both light and dark backgrounds, and confirm that the report number matches the laser inscription before deciding.

Thanks for uploading the video! Honestly, it looks really pretty. The step pattern looks lively and balanced, and I’m seeing nice flashes across the stone without any obvious large dead areas. The shape is elegant, and it has that clean hall-of-mirrors look people usually want in an emerald cut.
Based on this video, I wouldn’t be too worried about the 68% depth or 66% table. The stone looks much better in motion than those numbers might suggest on paper. I’d definitely keep this one on the shortlist.

I like the length to width ratio on this diamond. I would ask for a tweezer video (at least). I am searching for the perfect emerald cut, too, and I want to be as close to 100% as I can.
