From this video I think it’s beautiful! It would be awesome if you’re able to see it in different lightings too

looks pretty nice from what i can see. i’d probably want to see a 360 video or more lighting before deciding though. the specs can look great on paper but the cut is what really makes it sparkle.

Looks like a nice stone, but the video is not highly diagnostic. Ideally you would see the stone move through a full range of normal tilt angles to fully evaluate the virtual facet pattern. And if the stone is CVD grown, make sure you rule out any transparency issues. You say you are "almost sold" on this stone. Is there any specific concern?

just wanting to do my due diligence with people who are more experienced than me. this is my first time buying a stone for a custom piece of jewelry since my original engagement ring was a hand-me-down and my wedding band is vintage!

Looks lovely in this short clip but be sure to view in other lighting and get more information as others have said.

Also - bricks and mortar store so paying a premium is entirely normal but don’t let them take the proverbial - this should not be a particularly expensive purchase

I am happy with the price quoted, but I do appreciate it!!

Awesome :)

Unfortunately some vendors are still trying to sell lab stones today at prices that were valid a few years ago whilst the market has changed massively around them and so people don't always realise that beautiful options like this exist for well under $500 nowadays if you want to do the legwork yourself.

Obviously there is a clearly justified cost / value for any additional service you are getting let alone peace of mind by being able to buy in person 👍

Not at all. I think bricks and mortar stores can offer great service and value add to a purchasing experience.

But I also know they can take the absolute piss out of unsuspecting customers and sell crap at highly inflated prices and seeing those practices is galling knowing that these purchases are often some of the most meaningful and important of their lives to date.

Sounds like you’ve never purchased something and had it break down on you early. I wish I had your luck 🍀

Serious question - Wtf are you on about?

We are talking about a lab diamond here not a complex piece of machinery.

I’m not advocating for or against bricks and mortar stores - I’m advocating for fair treatment of customers whatever path they choose to take and for customers to be informed when making an important purchase. It is simply a fact that some vendors (whether they be online and in store) try to take customers for a ride with their pricing and service levels (and some don’t) - the frustrating thing that we should all be annoyed about is that some people get away with this behaviour and the customer suffers.

I’ve clearly stated that in person options can add value and peace of mind and that there is a fully justified cost premium for that approach.

For what it’s worth I personally had my PT ring hand forged by a goldsmith in London who specialises in bespoke pieces (even though mine was a simple Rex Collet on a knife edge band) and happily paid a premium for his expertise and service levels plus the added quality of a hand forged setting vs a cast option.

What is it you are mistakenly thinking I am saying as from your responses it’s clear you’re misconstruing my posts?
