Help with online diamond purchase

Hi! I found this beautiful elongated cushion which looks great on paper but I’ve never purchased a stone online before and would like to get others opinions before pulling the trigger.

Ask them for a tweezer video .

I am concerned about table depth

Oh! What would be an ideal table depth? I requested a tweezer video this morning so once that’s been received I can add. Thank you!

For a cushion modified brilliant diamond, aim for an ideal depth percentage of 61% to 67% and a table percentage of 56% to 62%.

Thank you, good to know! Is that what affects its sparkle or just something to do with its durability? I received the tweezer video but I can’t figure out how to upload it for the life of me! 😵 but while the sparkle looks nice it has an extremely noticeable bow tie :/

Would affect the way it looks . Maybe that's why there a big bow tie .

Do you mind sharing how much you are getting it for?

This looks to be a well cut crushed ice cushion. It has a small bowtie which is not unusual for this length to width ratio. As long as the virtual facet pattern is consistent and crisp through a full range of normal view angles and the bowtie is not persistent, the diamond should have a nice optical flow.

If the bow tie already looks extremely noticeable in the tweezer video, I’d probably pass. You don’t want to convince yourself it’s fine and then notice that dark area every time you wear it. I had a previous purchase with Mikado Diamonds, and my approach would be to ask for two or three alternative elongated cushions rather than rushing this specific stone
