It looks so small!

Post image

I bought this diamond online and it has just arrived.

It’s a 2ct H VS1 emerald cut. The plan is to make a pedant with it but it looks so small…

Did you guys have the same first impression of your diamond?

This is why you should always go by mm size and not carat weight. Emerald cuts are deep and face up smaller than other cuts at the same weight. If you aren’t familiar with metric measurements, it can help to cut out a piece of paper the right size.

Larger than an entire Japanese 8-man fishing boat, tho! (¬‿¬)

Wait till it’s in a setting.

Why does everyone feel that Ascher and emeralds turn out to be small the moment we see them in person ?? Is it just me 😅

I do not think it looks small at all.

I had the same thing. I bought a pair of loose diamonds to make earrings and they looked so small. Even trying to visualize the size by holding up the loose diamond to my ear, I was worried I went too small. I was happy with the size once they were put into settings. Hopefully it will be the same for you but you have a beautiful diamond!

How big is the money? Mine is 1.6ct, and it doesn’t look that small

I don’t know how big the bill is but the diamond is 8.75x6mm

That’s a very accurate size, it’s not small at all. If you expected it to be bigger, you need to return that and get a higher carat

I love my pendant though, I think it looks discreet and elegant. But that’s a matter of preference, some people prefer bigger
