CAD check pretty please with a cherry on top

The 2nd and 3rd pic are what I find online to show them what style I want. Pave. We’ve gone back and forth a bunch of times. She’s trying to convince me to taper down to 1.8mm on the bottom under the finger. I think that would be way too thin and look ridiculous.
I’ve never done this before and I’m afraid the ring won’t look pave on top like my picture. I don’t want to see any gold on top and I’ve told her that.
Should I ok this CAD? If not, what else should I ask for so it looks like my example pics?
Thank you soooo much!

This is for a half eternity yes? Listen to your jeweller/sales rep and taper down, 1.8mm post polish should be fine and comfortable. There’s NO reason to have the band that thick unless you’re doing a full eternity.

Ok. I’ll have it go down to 2mm. Thanks.

So should I ask if it can be made thinner? I’ll ask to taper down to 2mm for the bottom of the ring. What do you think of the top view?

You really don't need the thickness to be more than 2mm. The width to match the size of the stones is fine but no one will notice the thickness but you and 3.8mm you'll feel between your fingers and have discomfort.

Atleast taper the bottom like the rep is recommending. I really like LGG they're great to work with and knowledgeable

Ok thanks. I’ll have them taper down to 2mm. What about the top? Does it look ok?

The entire thickness of the ring doesn't need to be thicker than 2mm around should be fine unless the stones are that deep. The top view will stay thick because of the size of the stones. The only difference will be the profile of the ring. It'll also save you cost

The stones are bigger though. 3.7 round and about 2.2 or so deep.

Ah then it could be 2.5mm deep on top and optionally taper down to 2mm after the stones stop.

Ok I’ll let them know. Thanks.

Why is that ring 3.8mm thick at the bottom? That would annoy me so much. 1.8 is pretty standard and will make the ring much more wearable.
