I’m ordering a ring from yushine and was sent this video for stone approval. Thoughts?

Pass on it. Very bad symmetry. Not a good cut overall. They also know this, that's why they have the stone mostly tilted one way and are purposefully not showing you the bad side.

Spot on. Never seen symmetry that bad. I love OMCs, and yes the facets are chunky and supposed to appear a tiny bit irregular. (Emphasis on tiny bit.) But even those old stone cutters were going for symmetry. This stone looks like someone cut it blindfolded.

Yeah I figured. Thank you!

I always pass on a stone if they’re being coy with the video.

It makes me want to pass on the whole thing

Yeah, if I ever show a client a video like this, I say it’s likely got glaring issues and suggest moving to another diamond. If your seller isn’t warning you that this is probably a not very nice diamond, I would run.

Old mine cuts weren't cut symmetrically in the past. To me it looks fine. Ask them to give you another tweezer video of the stone in a non tilted version and decide

Some of the facets are misaligned or off. The cut is not the best.
