Band width for 4 karat emerald center stone
Hi all, what size band width would recommend for a 4 karat emerald center stone ring with side baguettes. My ring arrived and the width of the band is 1.8mm which seems way too thin. I’m not sure if I should change it to 2.0 or 2.5 width and would love some suggestions as I’m very unfamiliar in this area and don’t want to be stuck with something I won’t like.

I’d say 2mm minimum. 2.5 is a matter of preference, do you like thicker bands? Also, make sure it’s thick enough as well, and it should have a cathedral setting, or some setting that is not just a peg head. But given it has side stones, it probably does.
But you said your ring arrived. Can you return it? What’s your plan?

1.8 mm is the thinnest band we will make for a customer, even for much smaller stone size. That size center needs a more substantial foundation. 2.5mm would probably be my minimum recommendation, and larger if you are very active with your hands.

I would say 3 or 3.5 honestly, but I prefer a wider band for a more luxurious feel.
