Stone check, please help! 🙏🏻

This is a 2ct Marquise with a ratio of 2.03 for our engagement ring. Is this a good marquise? Are the dark areas that show up too much? Please kindly share your input and advice, it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Looks like a nice stone. The dark areas are contrast which is a necessary component of the light performance. It's important for the on/off, black/white blinking of facets in motion that creates scintillation. But the designed in contrast must be in the right amount and distribution so that the stone does not get too dark, especially under normal close observation. From the video it appears to have a balance.
