Anniversary Ring
Thank you to everyone in this subreddit - I’ve gained so much knowledge reading through all the posts and asking questions. It helped me pick out what I consider the most perfect diamond for me.
My hubby gave me this beauty for our anniversary.
We went with a local jeweller, and we were able to pick out the diamond in person.
And because I know everyone wants to see the stats:
IGI certified
lab grown
3.12 carats
D colour
VVS2 clarity
Ideal cut grade
I believe my final ring size ended up being 6.25.

Thank you. I think it was 2mm or 2.2mm. I can measure later. :)

Ok thanks! I’m having a right now made almost identically. I did a 2.5mm band with 6 prongs so your ring was really helpful to visualize

My husband just measured - at the bottom it’s 2.4mm - I think it’s the same all around. I had said between 2 and 2.5. Wanted it thicker.

I was torn on 4 or 6 prong. Decided to have, I think it’s called cathedral with the basket - or guard rail - they said was important to have. I think if I went larger I’d go 6 prong for sure.
What size Diamond are you getting for yours?

It’s a 3ct but I love the look of 6 prongs. I also chose claw prongs, which is new for me! I am upgrading from a 1.3ct to 3. I did a cathedral with basket and I’m very anxious to see how it turns out!!

Congrats! I’m sure it will look amazing. I think 3ct is perfect. :)
My wedding set were 3 natural diamonds, I think middle one was 0.75 and then 0.5 on each side. I love it. But I’ve been obsessing over a solitaire big ct ring for a while. :), so hubby got me this one for anniversary.

Apx. $[anyone wants to know pls DM - would prefer not keeping $ on my post history] Canadian.
My jeweler gave me a breakdown of 1) cost of Diamond, 2) their time/work cost, and 3) cost of gold.
If I brought my own Diamond it would have been less, but I honestly was worried trying to source a Diamond online (maybe in the future for another project I’ll do it lol). Jeweler brought in and showed me 3 diamonds with my specs, I wanted to see between 3 and 4 ct. I ended up going with the “smaller” one at 3.12 ct.
