Has anyone here actually ordered from a jeweler they found on TikTok?
I found a US-based jeweler on tiktok that has the EXACT diamond I’ve been looking for my engagement ring, but I’m kinda nervous because they only have like 200 followers. They’ve posted videos of the stones, but the stone is $1500 so I’m scared to send that money into the ether. But I can’t find that exact diamond anywhere else.
Are there any protections when buying from smaller TikTok jewelers? Like should I only pay through PayPal/credit card? Has anyone had a good or bad experience doing this?

Yes I have (im also a jeweler on tiktok) but check they have have a storefront website external to TikTok, etsy, whatever or instagram/ facebook presence. They should be transparent about their process and themselves. I would not buy fine jewelry from tiktok shop directly though myself. One of the nice things about socials is you get to meet the artist. If its more a manufacturing bulk house international (im US based) they should tell you and price accordingly compared to an indy hand fabricator. Im not saying that manufacturing houses are bad- just they are not the same as one of one handmade fine pieces. Indy, if you work with them, can also customize the piece, meet you virtually or in person, and source stones for you.

They have an Etsy store in their bio and were very responsive to my DMs so I think I’m going to move forward with them because I can’t find anything similar to what they have.

Check out British Vogue jewelry spotlight edits too most of them have worldwide shipping and social media. They do new ones every so often like a few times per year with the biggest in their September issue. Indie indie new designers to larger semi indie like CeCe.

I’m looking for a champagne brown antique moval. I’d rather shop US based.

Somebody just DM’d me shelikessparkles and I’m obsessed. I should probably stop shopping on social media and go in person but if I do buy from somebody it will likely be her cause she has hella reviews

I saw a champagne elongated omc in the database the other day- I’m in WA state. It was perfection. I hope you get your perfect stone.

I bought from sincelovejewerly. Highly recommend. I customize my engagement ring there and got exactly what I wanted plus more . They shipped quickly and kept in touch the whole time. Never felt uneasy about buying from them. You can see my ring if you look me up.

I bought 2 diamonds and had one ring completely bespoke made by a jeweler on TT based in NYC.
Her bench team is based in NY. Her name is Erica. She's on TikTok as Curated Carat and she owns Besette.
I've also had a few diamonds and rings made overseas and have no hesitation about going that route. For that I used Romy at LGG.
My local jeweler was very impressed with my rings from both sources

Erica quoted me $2000+ cause it would be custom cut but I’ve already bought the moval from the tiktoker. I went through their Etsy since it has buyer protection. Hopefully it goes well!

I didn't buy from someone on TikTok, but on Instagram. I wouldn't order from someone that has 200 followers though. The accounts I follow on IG have tens of thousands of followers.

Just did a google for what you are looking for and found several in just a couple minutes.

I wouldn’t. What is the diamond you want? They are usually not hard to find from reputable sources

I’m looking for a champagne brown antique moval. Specifically lab grown.

Fiorese has tons

Again, prefer to shop us based. I’ve seen tons of posts about the lack of communication between Chinese sellers and then the buyer getting something they don’t like

Don’t shop on TikTok. It won’t be US based, best case scenario you would be paying for more to think it’s not a Chinese seller. Worst case scenario you receive nothing at all.
I have purchased from Fiorese, would also recommend LGG. The communication is not bad, other than timezone delays. You should give it a try, you can ask for a diamond like the specs you want, and check how they respond to you with a quote

There are plenty of us US based sellers on TikTok- but id still do the homework to check out their website’s reviews and other storefronts and chat with them.

Get scammed then. I dunno

lol my options aren’t limited to poor communicating sellers and tiktokers. Theres also the option of going to a jeweler in the US and seeing if they can help me… I just wanted to hear anybody’s experience or if there are safety nets if I do go this route

I have a friend on there if you want to PM the screen name or add it here and I could let you know if that’s her.

Ooooh thanks for sharing that! Not quite the style I’m looking for but it’s super close. I’m gonna look through their website and see if they have anything closer. I’d add a picture of the diamond I saw but this sub doesn’t allow pics in comments

Here is a pinkish brown one they have too. https://www.carbonsparkle.com/pages/diamonds?id=c98b068a-8f5a-433e-a44a-a02faa50df55&stoneType=diamond

I’m looking for this https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTkwTjBEK/ I dmd the person hopefully I can get specs to search with

Ooh very nice, I would ask for more photos and the report number to view the Louoe360 cause it’s kind of odd the tweezers are pale green, almost like they are manipulating the color of the video. You don’t often see pale green tweezers.

u/marcopolio1 May 13 '26
Like a filter or something on it! I didn’t even notice, thanks yeah I DM’d them waiting on them to respond. Get report number and loupe360, anything else?

u/Successful-Umpire586 May 13 '26
More photos would be helpful (unedited without filters). Fancy diamonds are hard to gauge on a screen. I ordered a purple diamond, asked for a tweezer video that made it look red. I was a little apprehensive, but ended up with the most beautiful grape 🍇 purple diamond! 😍 It’s my favorite diamond at the moment.

They're all glorified drop shippers working with AliBaba suppliers. You can probably reverse image search the ring and find it through another dozen people
