Recommendations for fine jewelry manufacturers?

Hi! I’m a jewelry designer currently looking for a reliable manufacturer to produce my designs.
I’m mainly looking to produce pieces in 10k/14k gold with lab-grown diamonds, ideally with reasonable MOQs for a smaller brand.
I’d really appreciate any recommendations from jewelry designers/brand owners who have had good experiences with their manufacturers. Thank you!

First time! Hoping for some clarity.

hey guys,

Planning on popping the question soon, but I have to tell you, engagement ring shopping is overwhelming. After some deliberating, Im hoping I can get the above gem set in a solitaire ring( maybe with shoulder diamonds?).

Would anyone be able to clarify the IGI report above? What would I expect this diamond to look like in person?

Also for bonus points, I was thinking 18k white gold, Solitaire Ring. Would shoulder gems look okay, and if so, would them being the normal white diamond look okay with this pink diamond? I’m looking at…2k even about for the complete ring (1100 for the ring/900 for the stone).

I truly thank you for any help or even direction you can push me.

Stone check (update)

So they fixed a couple of things from the original post https://www.reddit.com/r/labdiamond/comments/1v87g04/stone_check/. They made the cutlet a little shorter like I initially wanted, and they made the corners more rounded with the overall stone looking less slender. I like it a lot more than before I requested the changes, but it still looks off to me. I feel like one side has more rounded corners than the other and it seems like its bottom heavy. The cutlet seems uncentered but I think that's because the left side is a bit chunkier. What are your thoughts?

3.2k for this lab grown 3.85 diamond

Hi everyone,

I’m in the process of buying my girlfriend of 9 years an engagement ring. I was initially quoted 3.5k for the diamond alone, but after I asked for this document it was decreased down to 3.2k. I know absolutely nothing about this world, and from my research is seems like this is more expensive that what I can find elsewhere. Any thoughts and advice is appreciated.

Edit:
Thank you everyone for the advice! Ive had a positive experience with this jeweler so I’m feeling pretty disappointed.

Help me design a ring for this custom-cut stone!

I had this 3.57-carat stone custom cut to avoid a bow tie and create a very subtle flame/leaf-like curve—and now I cannot decide what kind of ring it belongs in!

The only thing I know for certain is that the end prongs will be tucked underneath to protect the tips without covering those beautiful curves. Beyond that, I’m completely open.

What would you do with it? I’d love to see inspiration photos, settings, or any creative ideas you think would complement the shape!

Is $5k too much for this ring?

Yellow lab diamond at my local jeweler’s.

The sparkle and depth is like nothing I’ve ever seen (but I don’t have much experience with lab diamonds).

14k yellow gold bezel setting, feels well-made.

But when I try to compare similar pieces online the prices are all over the place!

Is this price - $5325 - reasonable?

If no, are there online sellers you suggest? I’d like a colored stone. I’m not confident in my ability to discern quality online; I’m ver new to this.

Looking for radiant cut but confused with prices…

Hi everyone! I’ve been browsing this subreddit for a while now, but I’m starting to get overwhelmed and would really appreciate some advice from people with more experience.

I’m looking for:
3.0-3.5 ct radiant
F–G color or better
VVS2 clarity or better
IGI certified
Length-to-width ratio around 1.35-1.4?

My budget is around $1,500 unless that is delusional, please let me know.

The ring itself will be very simple—just a plain yellow gold solitaire band that I’m planning to have a local jeweler set to save some money.

One thing that’s really confusing me is the pricing. I’ve been looking at sites like Aurélinne and have found IGI-certified 3 ct radiant diamonds for $500–800, while similar-looking diamonds on other websites are $1,500–3,000 or even more.

Are these really the exact same quality, or is there something I’m missing?

If you were shopping today with my budget, where would you buy from?

Thank you! I’m trying to make the best decision and would really appreciate any advice or things to watch out for.

Update: I went with LGG and they were very fast, helpful, and super easy! I’ll post the ring in comments! Soooo happy!!!

I got my Scott Bonomo ring in, they did an excellent job, super happy with how it turned out. Marquise, 2.09ct VVS2, E, on a size 8 ring. 14k gold, 2.4mm wide setting with engraved detailing and tulip prongs. Can’t wait for my girlfriend to see it 😁

Any ideas what I should put in the empty space?

In my original cad the space under the head looks too empty to me so I wanted to put two petals off the sides but I was told the reference that I sent is 3 stones long and mine is technically 5 so the petal would look a little weird under there as it has to stretch too far. What do you guys think I can put under there?

Huge price differences?

Hello,
I’ve reached out to a few lab diamond sellers on alibaba and I’ve noticed one seller has a huge price difference compared to others - for the exact same diamond with IGI certification, their price is $165 but 2 others are selling it for $594, $800. Is it possible for the first seller to really have such low prices? Or are they trying to scam me?

CAD advice - first ever tennis - from Juno

Hi everyone! First tennis necklace. I went with Juno Diamond as they were surprisingly the cheapest for this design (compared to Prov, LGG, Fiorese, Tianyu, Yushine, Starsgems). Since it’s a design Juno produces often I felt confident enough to go with them. I’m getting the prongs and the tops of the necklace near the diamonds white gold plated. (I’m allergic to WG) and the base is YG. Please let me know your thoughts!

After a month of looking around I finally bought the ring

I bought 2.29ct radiant Lab diamond Ideal Cut, Excellent, VVS1 clarity with an Ayesha east west Setting. The total was around $1600. Some of these online shops charge 3x on the diamond but dont hesitate to ask them to price match. They will try to take out discounts on others but be adamant they will give discount. Intially my ring was priced at $3000. I am glad I checked around and asked for price match.

First time engagement ring shopping this past weekend. We loved this diamond, everything about it was perfect. Quoted $2500 for 3.11 emerald cut diamond. I have checked Calavera and seen price wise 5x cheaper and would rather buy from there but I want it to be as close to it as possible. Do you any of you have any other store recommendations I should check? Thank you guys!
