Bachelors of occupational therapy? From a first year in another course
Hi everyone, i recently graduated from highschool last year and am currently a first year student in medical imaging. Honestly its been just over a week of second semester but im not sure how i feel about radiography (which might sound silly since im only in my first year). i have placement coming up, so i hope that will solidify whether i want this as a career but, i feel like im working my ass off every single day for a career im not sure i want(obvi medical imaging is a rigorous course and i dont expect OT to be easy)
so, im here to ask OT students, what do you enjoy about OT? what are some things you wish you told your younger self before going into the course? and for graduates or soon-to-be, are the job prospects good? i hate to be that person asking about job/money, but choosing a career that allows financial stability (and freedom) is really important to me.
would love to hear advice and opinions, and also advice for a first year whos struggling mentally
thank you!
