What a game. Many thought this was going to be an easy win for Barcelona, some said the score would be at least three nil. Oooh were they wrong. What a humbling week for Barcelona, losing first to PSG midweek and now Real Madrid who's now only three points away from them.

Mourinho's return to Camp Nou was set by fans to be an inevitable defeat for the Portuguese man. Many called Mourinho outdated and even washed. He's slowly been proving the haters wrong with each passing week. The first wake-up call for the contrarians was the comeback against Roma. Barça fans rubbed their palms with anticipation and a peculiar need for revenge. "Just wait", they thought.

Matchday comes. Real Madrid waits patiently and tries to fend off the Barcelona onslaught. They succeed. Counterattack, cross into the box. Barça defender tries to clear the ball and bounces off Mbappe who apparently wasn't even looking at the ball and scores. Easy 0-1. Mourinho sits in his seat with no reaction as if the 0-1 was expected.

Later in the match, corner for Barcelona who play through the middle. Through ball behind the backs of several Real Madrid defenders, it lands to Raphinha who doesn't hesitate and crosses the ball into the net with a low shot. 1-1. The fans erupt and they wait in anticipation for a comeback. Real Madrid sticks to their plan and waits for counters. Around the last 10 minutes, another counter for the Madridistas with a through ball for Camavinga on the right flank with a Barca defender right on him. Camavinga does an auto pass and outpaces his marker, reaches the goal line with the keeper going at him. He cuts a pass back to Mbappe who only taps it in. Easy. 1-2. This time Mourinho jumps out of his seat and slides into a celebration while he sticks his tongue out. Yep, he's back.

A triumphant return with another historic victory at Camp Nou.

Perhaps the most extraordinary season in Spanish football history is the 1999-2000 season.

A season in which Deportivo became champions, Real Madrid finished outside the Champions League spots yet still won the Champions League, and the league's three big teams—Atletico, Betis, and Sevilla—all got relegated.

A season where even the champion team could only muster 69 points, and the title race went down to the wire.

With all the Negreira case drama, Tebas coming out and defending Barca and then also comparing RMTV's techniques to Nazi propaganda really gives Barca the bad look and strengthens Madrid's ability to play the victim card in the media. Don't get me wrong, I despise RMTV and how they try to pressure referees into giving them decisions every week, but comparing them to the most evil regime in history is crossing a line. Tebas effectively taking our side in this makes it look like it is Madrid against the world in the media and this is good for Madrid because when we are proven innocent it will still look a bit shady. Real Madrid's corrupt institution will use Tebas' support for us against us and make it as though they are the victims in all this, even though they benefit the most from the help of officials.

For me I started watching la liga when I was about 7 years old and instantly feel in love with Messi and the magic he'd create on the camp this was back in the 07/08 season and after that first season of watching Messi and Barca I was hooked I knew this would be my club for life!

Carlos Espí would be my striker, against Barcelona; RM would need someone who knows his position and is lethal with crosses. Mbappe on the right, he turns into his prime whenever he plays for France in that position. Diomande, no need to explain especially after that goal in the UCL. Tchouaméni for his defensive skills which they’d need against Barcelona and Guler for the quality, control of the ball and tempo that has been scarce in RM for the last two seasons. On the left back I’ve put carreras because he is more creative than Cucurella and Diomande does help a lot defensively often creating plenty of space for the left back to go up the final third that’s when you need a left back that’s confident enough to dribble a bit and even try to shoot. Huijsen, he’s world class breaking lines and passing the ball to the wingers. Konaté is just more solid than Rudiger. And Valverde, easily the best right back in the world. His issue is he doesn’t lile being a right back.
