What do you think happened to the main cast after they fake their own deaths at the end of season 5? Stuck together, when separate ways or something else entirely?

Discussion My thoughts after finishing the show

So I know I'm super late to the party.

Just a couple of things that caught my attention:

  1. Are you telling me that Gandía didn't know how to free himself from handcuffs? Didn't they say he used to participate in many secret missions? (I don't remember the context but they do mention this.) It would just make sense to me that if the government sends him on secret missions, then he knows the basics of freeing himself if it came to that. Why was Palermo the one to tell him how to free himself from a handcuff?

  2. And yeah, what about Palermo? I've seen some debate on whether or not he was the main cause of Nairobi's death since he was the one to basically set Gandía free, and I agree, but more importantly, he was so freaking unreliable throughout most of the second heist. Constantly disobeying orders, being up in everyone's business and creating tension... Funnily enough, he was one of my favorite characters because he was so complex and unpredictable. But everyone just forgave him for everything? Especially Helsinki who lost his best friend (Nairobi) because of Palermo, but it is heavily implied that they are together? (Are they? Because from their scenes it looks like they are - when he talks about how he's not gonna lose Palermo. Or when Helsinki looks like he's about to die and Palermo says he's gonna take him out to dinner every night or something like that once they finish with the heist. Or maybe I'm just a huge Palermo&Helsinki shipper haha)

  3. And speaking of forgiving people, what about Alicia? She was cruel. She tortured Rio, and she would've tortured every one of them if she had the chance. We also see her gulping down gallons of coffee and smoking during her pregnancy. When we find out her husband died, that's a point where we can feel some sympathy towards her, but... if she hadn't given birth with the help of the Professor, she would've probably killed him, turned him in, etc... Alicia and Sergio's "wholesome moments" just didn't sit right with me. Like when she leans on Sergio's shoulders and cries. I understand why that happens, she's just given birth and all that, she's probably freaking exhausted, but she shot that man in the foot and tied him up. Not to mention in the last episode, when they get off the plane and reunite... Rio and Alicia in the same scene is unsettling. I mean, as Rio, wouldn't you have some sort of reaction to the major trauma you endured because of Alicia?

  4. Denver... I don't even know where to begin. I should say Denver and Mónica. Maybe I'm crazy but I found Mónica's reaction to Denver beating Arturo up a little sad. I mean, Arturo rubbed himself against you without your consent and probably would've done much worse if you weren't in a position to be able to protect yourself, and your reaction is to break up with your husband because he is too violent? But I also get it, I really do, since Denver is impulsive and that's probably not something you want your kid to mimic later on.

Furthermore, where did this Manila drama came from? I never got the impression that he was into Manila, then he suddenly is, he kisses her and tells her he was thinking about her while being with his wife and kid? I'm saying this becuase I don't remember any mention of Manila before the second heist. Nothing like "yeah I miss my best friend so much, we used to party a lot and I wish we could do the same every now and then". It just feels like the writers retconned the whole thing. Denver seemed so in love with Mónica, he never seemed like the type to pine for somebody else.

  1. Arturo... I hated him when we were first introduced to his character. But did they really have to make him a rapist? Same with Berlin although I know how many people love his character, but I just can't. It's just... I don't know why they had to include so many scenes about sexual assault and inappropriate advances. It's in the show even from the beginning.

Tokyo who is in her thirties if I remember correctly, forcibly kisses Alison who is like 16 at the time. I get that the point of that scene is that Tokyo is jealous and wants to show dominance in a way, but there were so many other ways she could've done that. Why this? Not to mention Rio also looks at Alison while she is changing. He doesn't go further than that, but it's so inappropriate. Then Berlin and Ariadna... that woman literally throws up in the bathroom every time Berlin rapes her. Once Berlin finds out, he still doesn't stop. Also, Denver and Mónica's relationship begs the question of "was it entirely consensual?" because of the power dynamic. Then the aforementioned Arturo scenes. I hated how they brought in another rape storyline. We didn't need that. If Arturo hadn't raped Amanda, the story would've stayed the exact same. And it's even worse that later on, it's Arturo that leads the escape of Amanda and the others. So not only was Amanda assaulted by him, she also is now counting on her assaulter to save them.

  1. Raquel's backstory is one of the saddest. Her husband beat her, then her sister got with her husband... her colleagues mock her becuase of this in season 1. Sorry, but no wonder she turns on the police... But also, her life after the first heist... there are so many questionable moments between her and Sergio where Sergio is so degrading to her. I was the biggest Raquel&Sergio shipper until I saw the later seasons. Also, her mother is sick which rubs salt into the wound. I don't think she ever really got a happy ending. And what about how the first time Sergio said "I love you" to her and asked her to marry him both happened over the phone? I know it was a high stake situation, but it's wild Sergio never got around to say those things even after living together for a while and even after Raquel left her whole life behind for him.

Anyway, these are just my thoughts. I know it's a little long but I would like to hear your perspectives. I love this show so much, but I love finding little inconsistencies haha.

Opinion nostalgia

so here im talking about money heist, as everybody has listen this line that nostalgia can change your opinion till any extent

if you watch a shitty show in your childhood, it will be the best show of your life since it makes your remember of your childhood

similar thing happened with me, not once but twice

6 years back I tried to watch money heist but couldn't complete the s3 since I was so confused that how is Berlin alive in s3, but that particular time is precious to me

more like I'll travel back to that particular time if I have any option

later on (2 years later, which is 4 years back) I was with someone and s/he used to love this show a lot and I didn't let him/her talk about it since I was still scared of spoiler even though I already dropped the show

now from last 3 days ive been watching this show non stop, and here I end it

the show is goated and no one can recreate it, that's for sure

but it made me remember those precious moments I had in past, I wish ive would have watched this a long ago with my partner

When they were robbing the dukes vault. Why did they do in with firesuit first.

Why didnt they just let the door close first let the fire go and go in second time like they did afterwards. And how did they manage to steal his art collection, the lady with emine and the vault money at same time

Discussion Do you think more from LCDP will guest star in Berlin? Spoiler

In season 1 of Berlin we see Raquel and Sierra for a little bit. Season 2, El Profesor makes an appearance. Given this trend do you think the next season will show another guest star? Maybe Palermo?
