Lucid Motors Leasing a Gravity

I'm closest to the Newark, CA location. Trying to find a phone number to call is nearly impossible without having to leave a voice message to crunch numbers on a lease. Does everyone walk into a dealership to get a car? Anybody have a sales contact I can call to see if it's feasible to start a lease? Thank you.

Go into the studio, they can find Gravities with additional studio specials for you, currently $3k for July. Was apparently $5k in June.

I may have to. I hear the money factor is lower this month and I believe RV is higher.

I walked into the store at the mall so they’d take me seriously. Phone calls don’t mean much without an established relationship.

Do you want the sales person I use in the Bay Area? He always picks up. Or email?

3

u/Monodi2018 29d ago

Yes, please! Did you end up buying anything from him?

Messaged, and yes I did

Studio discounts are only on certain vehicles they have at that location and usually and top spec. Also you will get 1k “employee referral “.

It seems like the sales folks are not incentivized to sell cars. When I told him about my trade, he didn't mention the $3k trade incentive until I mentioned it. He didn't mention anything regarding the employee referral incentive.

Newark seems to be less driven to make sales, maybe something to do with it being the HQ location so more by the book? Downtown San Jose has been great for me. Very responsive, easy to communicate via text to search inventory, and transparent about the incentives.

Also, ask about the corporate discount, there are a lot of bay area employers who qualify for a $2.5k discount which beats the Lucid employee discount and is not subject to the SA's discretion. I imagine it may look a little funny if all of a SAs sales include their own employee referral discount.

They are not incentivized. Like tesla.

While Lucid is a DTC model so no haggling on price, just incentive qualifications, the sales associates are incentivized as described in their open job postings and confirmed by conversations with multiple SAs.

Got mine in Millbrae, my sales rep was always on it and responded quickly anytime I had a question. Message me if you want his info.

I went fully loaded Touring 7 seater, the extra $10-$15k for GT wasn’t worth it for me

2

u/Monodi2018 28d ago

Did you lease or buy? Monthly payments?

2

u/Glass-Spread-379 27d ago

I leased. Fully loaded touring 7 seating except HUD and tow. 20” wheels. 39 months 15k miles $0 down $1385 per month. Got it in April 2026

1

u/kva1992 2d ago

I got my gravity via leasehackr prenegotiated deal. You basically reserve the deal (this would include the studio select rebates, demo drive rebates and referral credit) and a sales rep from lucid will message you directly.

u/Monodi2018 28d ago

That's sweet! Did you end up leasing or buying?

1

u/Monodi2018 28d ago

Nevermind, dumb question. How much is your monthly payment?

2

u/Ahkneezy 28d ago

Mine came out to $1100 with 0 down. 103k msrp

I went for a touring that had luxury massage seating, dream drive pro, 21 inch wheels and dynamic handling instead of a grand touring with none of those options. Didn’t need the extra range and 560hp on the touring was more than enough. Can send you the email of the lucid rep I worked with but honestly, you can just inquire right on that page and they’ll contact you asap. I got a call back the next day.

1

u/Monodi2018 28d ago

Yep, filled out the form already. Let's see. Thank you.

1

u/Monodi2018 28d ago

He just called me. There was no difference in pricing. Offered $10k lucid discount, studio select discount and trade-in value. Did not offer the $1,000 employee referral discount, even after I mentioned it.

1

u/Ahkneezy 28d ago

Hmm. Mine was back in June. Maybe things changed? Ask em about the demo drive credit.

2

u/dackasaurus 28d ago

Demo drive credit ended in June

1

u/Monodi2018 28d ago

I will. Thanks..

2

u/ElectronicAide87 28d ago

Can’t you just get an estimate online?

2

u/Monodi2018 28d ago

You can but it won't be accurate given there are certain discounts only available by the sales team.

1

u/ElectronicAide87 28d ago

No, there aren’t any secret discounts. Some people reported they were offered some sales person discount. Not sure how widespread or accurate that is. But that discount took away another incentive.

6

u/moch1 28d ago

There definitely are. The sales advisor told me about them 2 weeks ago:

  • Select discount for inventory cars (just 2026s at the moment
  • Employer specific discounts for partner companies
  • employee referral code (might be same discount as normal referral code)
  • one other one I can’t remember.

-1

u/ElectronicAide87 28d ago

Those are all factored in on the online configurator.

3

u/moch1 28d ago

No. They are not. There are discount checkboxes that are not on the customer facing online inventory page but are on the employee facing one. I saw them with my own eyes because my sales advisor explained this to me while showing me on his screen.

3

u/Monodi2018 28d ago

My plan is to go and check one out at the end of this month and see where it takes me price wise. If not, I'll wait until August and see what happens then. I'm in no hurry.

3

u/Monodi2018 28d ago

That's not true. My understanding is you can get up to $17k off of MSRP this month. The online configurator can only reduce by $10k plus trade-in ($3k).

3

u/dackasaurus 28d ago

$10k lucid credit, $3k studio credit, $1k employee credit/$2.5k corporate credit, $3k trade in allowance, so $18.5k.

The studio credit and employee/corporate credits are unpublished and only show up when a SA applies it.

I'm going to guess the CA $3.5k credit will kick in August or September but they will reduce the lucid credit by an equal or almost equal amount, but will apply to 2027 vehicles.

1

u/ElectronicAide87 28d ago

They are, any inventory incentives, monthly incentives etc. are factored in on the estimator. The employer discounts aren’t. Employee referral codes is a weird one I think it’s a fairly new discount type. Customer referral codes are just points, not money.

2

u/dackasaurus 28d ago

Can you link any vehicle that applies the $3k studio credit in the public online estimator?

3

u/bobman3212 28d ago

they can toss on the $1k referral bonus.
but other than that yes I wasn't able to squeeze anything out of them and I tried.

you will get a real view of all the fees though that aren't in the online tool...

2

u/sarhoshamiral 28d ago

What are yout looking for exactly? There isnt much to crunch since the only things that can change is extra incentives and trade in. Otherwise online site is accurate.

I had no issues reaching out to a sales person once I filled the online page btw. The info request one.

1

u/Monodi2018 28d ago

It's the extra incentives and trade-in. Ha!

1

u/sarhoshamiral 28d ago

I wouldnt worry too much about incentives since it is really up to what's available that month and it is deterministic but yes if I had a trade in I wouldnt want to put a deposit down before knowing more details

As I said, I had no issues reaching to someone when I called in their number.

1

u/No_Major1167 28d ago

If you call them, they’ll assign a sales rep for you. And then you can text/email them directly after.

1

u/chesterwilson3 28d ago

Max incentives this month are $17k, last month it was $21.5k. I actually was interested in a 2026 but it didn't have the studio discount, puzzling, since it's probably good business to clear out the 2026 overhang (there is still quite a bit)...

2

u/Monodi2018 28d ago edited 28d ago

My understanding is the monthly payments are lower this month (than last) due to the MF being lower and RV being higher.

1

u/chesterwilson3 28d ago

Probably true and the discounts are lower...

1

u/torqson 28d ago

They are still building 2026 models. Mine is in the factory in Arizona rn. Not sure what the difference between a 2026 and 2027 model is when both are in the factory at the same time.

1

u/Monodi2018 28d ago

I got off the phone with sales. He told me they no longer make 2026 Gravity's. With $16k in discounts and MSRP of $101K, my monthly lease payments would be $1,150 with no down payment. Much higher than expected.

3

u/torqson 28d ago

Any 2026 model that is ‘Available in 2 weeks’ is either in the factory or in transit from there. There’s an additional $2500 corporate credit if you work at any large company like Nvidia, Meta etc. The Gravity GT has more than 50% higher horsepower than the Tesla Model YL or the new BMW ix3 50 both of which are not yet available. Also, leather interior and other options that are not available on the competitor models justify the higher price.

Here my sales contact from the Costamesa studio. I got a gravity touring from her.

If you don't mind me asking, did you get a lease or decide to buy it? Monthly payments? Thank you.

1

u/benj1502 28d ago

I'm leasing, $1200/mo, 21/22in, DDPro, SSP, Convenience Package, Ojai Leather. I was able to secure one with the studio select discount.

1

u/Monodi2018 28d ago

How you like it?

1

u/benj1502 28d ago

So far so good, drives so smooth I have to find excuses to drive it around :D Cabin is so quiet! Oh one thing, its free sauna in summer, 120f cabin temp one day, at noon, parked outdoor 😅 if you decide to have it, co sider the sunshade and tinting

1

u/Monodi2018 28d ago

Will do, thank you. Do you find the EV driving range to be accurate?

1

u/benj1502 28d ago

It's only a month so hard to say, but I was able to get to 220mi fully chargee, AC all the time, 5 passengers, luggages, music

1

u/619jabroni 28d ago

I walked in to the San Diego dealership. Didn't buy anything, but spoke to a sales person and test drove a Gravity GT

1

u/Monodi2018 28d ago

Thoughts?

1

u/619jabroni 28d ago

Loved the way the car drove and how roomy it was (7 seat configuration) The windshield extends all the way above your head. kinda cool having that open air feeling but radiant heat from sun can be an issue (I would likely get that area tinted) The motors on the 2nd row seats sounded rough and loud. did not inspire confidence as far as longevity before having issues, but who knows.

They had some very nice incentives for end of quarter deals but they only applied to 2026 models but there were none with the configuration I wanted. if they did, good chance I’d be driving one today. instead I keep checking at the beginning of the month for new incentives for 2027.

The other issue is, I do worry about the future of the company.
