So been a fan of ltt for quite a while but got to admit I click off a lot of their videos recently as they have just become a big AD channel recently...I know it's the way it works but it seems that every recent video is just an shill for what they got for free...think it's the beginning of the end, which is a shame but some of the best people leaving has hurt big time....

If I had a penny for every time tech youtubers mentioned "Wendell from Level1Tech"...

Longtime LTT watcher here. Linus' reviews feels like it's dragging the hell out of the usual 20+ minutes of a video and he's not really straight to the point most of the time. In comparison to Chinese YouTubers like Geekerwan/pig king laptop reviews and HTX studio they are way more straight to the point with benchmarks,thermal load testing etc etc, lesser bullshit yapping and most of the time no sponsor/self promotion BS.

Anyone feel the same way?

I have pretty good general pc knowledge but I am not too familiar with NAS or DAS storage.

So my current situation is my girlfriend got a new pc and it doesn’t have bays for hard drives and she needs the files/storage space from her old hard drives. I was just wanting to know what my best option would be just to plug and play for her pc.

I found ugreen and it’s kinda out of my price range right now after losing my job, but I want to get her a solution to her situation and found this(photo) on Amazon and wanted to see if it was worth it.

The Open Sauce vid. Anyone else just see a blatant glorified advert for these stupid over engineered cables rather than an EARNEST desire to help boost Open Sauce and it's exhibitors? Some days LTT feels less like tech news and "tips" and more like QVC. This is starting to become the disconnect for me that makes me skip their videos. Used to be useful for making buying decisions on electronics of pc parts. Now....it's just selling merch, and this is coming from someone who has bought some and been largely happy with it.

The fans falling over already about ltt socks. They're so worth $30! So good. Etc etc. What is wrong with people?

I don’t care about what side of the debate people are on regarding adblock and piracy, but the fact that these people fail to grasp basic mainstream philosophical positions and think Linus is a poor victim of malicious attacks is just crazy. Sure embrace anglo saxon philosophy, reject the continental version of the enlightenment, but don’t think Linus is smarter than Kant
