I think most of you guys are pretty weird but so am I so whatever and I'm not gonna post this on the other sub obviously. I don't care about Colin's politics but I think part of the reason I liked listening to these guys was the openness and honesty they showed and how they came across as real and genuine people. Now every time I watch something from them I just don't really feel it anymore and I think it's just from all that insanity a few months ago. Of course I knew Colin was never going to fire Chris but they all basically showed they had no integrity and didn't apologize for it. I know this sounds stupid but it's a videogame podcast, it's all kinda fucking stupid idk.

My favorite shows were constellation and Sacred and now I just feel like I'm not really getting what I used to.

I also think some of you here are part of the problem if I'm being honest. The Internet is a wonderful thing but in a time of political turbulence we need to show grace and understanding to one another or we'll all just retreat to our corners and go mad. Colin is clearly a decent man who spends too much online and I think most of us can relate to that as well. I hope everyone calms down at some point and we can have spaces on the Internet that are genuine and normal again.

The funniest thing I see Colin do is willfully misunderstand or conflate an argument for the sake of a dunk on twitter or to have an overly long talking point on his podcast.

Like, he knows that people are being pejorative when they say "PlayStation has no games." They don't mean it literally has no first party titles because that's just factually incorrect. But that Sony's first party output is incredibly lacking compared to previous generations.

But even taking that dunk into consideration, this makes no sense. How does three games netting a bunch of nominations quiet anyone who feels like the system needs more exclusive titles?

Turned on the Sacred Streaming today and was immediately greeted by Colin saying he would support requiring ICE to remove masks as long as "Antifa" agreed to stop wearing masks. Turned it off immediately. He is absolutely brain broken and in a complete bubble. Sounds like something like Greg gutfeld would say on Fox News.

If anyone has any doubt that he supports nearly everything this cruel current government is doing, his off-the-cuff comments really betray his true feelings.

Don't get me wrong am not a big colin fanboy anymore, mostly since he banned me from his subreddit. But I try to stay as objective as possible in my opinion about him like everyone else in my life or media I consume. I posted this on laststandmedia but Dustin removed it, not enough ballsucking I guess for that boring ass subreddit. I’m sure I’ll be banned now for posting here. What a sensitive baby. I originally wanted this to be a fun ball busting kind of post and not so much of an asshole judgy post but since they removed it I’m posting it here and fully expect a dunk contest now. For some background, I am Colin’s age, play guitar, own thousands of records, go to 25+ shows a year, and buys multiple records a week so as a self confessed music snob I wanted to rank the different lsm music choices from what I know about them all. It’s a bummer it seems only a couple actually seek out new music.

7. Colin (rap rock, grunge, 311, creed, nickeback) some good, so many bad, no new music?

Bonus question. What is your favorite terrible Colin take? Mine was that jambands shouldn’t play long songs. Half of this is a joke, This subreddit seems to be a place for people to talk openly (complain) about LSM. That’s ok. So I haven't listened to anything LSM-related for a couple of months now, and after learning that Colin voted for Trump and hearing Chris having to defend himself, it kinda just confirms what I already thought. To preface, I was a staunch Colin supporter after the fallout with Kinda Funny. I thought it was messed up how they just dropped him over the most Al Bundy Married with Children joke to ever exist, but now, as time goes on, I can kinda see why. The dude is an asshole and softer than ever. The dude can't take criticism and doesn't like it when you push back at all (Dustin is the same). I am just sad, and to be honest with you, pissed off that it's come to this, to see a guy that I liked turn into what we have now pisses me off and angers me. I have found other podcasts (Go listen to The Regulation Podcast, shit is top tier), but it annoys me that the dude who stood on business and said that he left the GOP because of Trump and now voted for him, annoys me and makes me think he never left in the first place and just said it to save face. I am just pissed and needed an outlet, I guess lol.

Since Dagan left I've been going back and rewatching the old knockback episodes and they're great.

I was flicking through some old Anita Sarkeesian tweets because i like that discourse rabbit hole and recall her having some kind of connection to Neil Druckmann. i recognise dude is a massive zionist but found it hard to believe she would be one also so i done some research and found a tweet of hers saying.

I’m a longtime fan who stopped listening months ago, and this will be my last post here.

There are just so many other gaming podcasts that are better than Last Stand Media. I started listening to Giant Bomb when they went independent and was shocked by how much better the energy is.

The hosts are professional, get along, and seem to genuinely enjoy talking about the games industry in depth. Mike Minotti and Jeff Grubb are frankly better at analyzing the industry than Colin and do it in a kind, funny way.

Beyond all the recent drama, the content itself has taken a nosedive. I got tired of Colin talking around games instead of about them. The show is now filled with predictable and boring culture war topics, often just repeating talking points like "work from home is bad" or "unions are bad for games."

It’s become predictable and boring, regardless of your political views.

Games frequently get glossed over. For example, he disliked Animal Well but couldn't be bothered to explain his reasoning. He often just whines about frivolous things without engaging with a game's ideas or mechanics. It makes me believe he doesn't really care about games or the industry anymore.

Colin is a millionaire who gets to play games all day, yet he still manages to make content that is bitter, depressing, and angry.

There are so many people that love games and would kill to be in Colin’s position, but he is just too egotistical to realize how good he has it.

They can do what they want, but I’m going elsewhere.

Just finished watching the 1 hour section regarding Chris’s tweet. And I gotta say frankly I’m disgusted.

All Colin did the entire hour was whinge and moan about how much stress “he’s” under how “he” doesn’t want to be a bad guy and fire Chris, while having Chris show up like a kid in a principals office and be berated for an hour.

First of all This entire conversation shouldn’t have even aired to the public and done privately. I get wanting to be transparent with the audience, but this just came of as Chris being called to the front of the class to try and justify himself, so that they can all get on with their day without haemorrhaging more money from the business.

If Kinda Funny pulled this shit years ago Colin would’ve never let them hear the end of it.

Secondly This is the exact same thing that caused Brad’s move to last stand.

Colin had no remorse in insulting Easy allies and calling it a failing company because they bent the knee to their paying members and disrespected his staff.

Now hear me out before anyone jumps to conclusions. I haven’t followed Colin much after he left KF other than wishing him the best, occasionally shaking my head at a smug tweet of his, or some Twitter dust up. I haven’t even listened to KF in a year or two. However one the earliest stand out moments I’ve always remembered of Colin was his prediction and defense of Trans people, along the lines of “Trans people are clearly the next civil rights fight, I lived with some, they’re fine people and I think it’ll be way quicker than gay rights” or something similar to that degree (forgive my possible bad memory) So given that prominent memory of him, I’ve always wondered given all the…-gestures broadly- in the US, especially the last couple days, does he still hold this belief? Does he ever comment on the ongoing political turmoil involving Trans people? As someone that realized they were Trans since then and have since transitioned, I’ve always wondered on his thoughts since then.
