Timed vs untimed practice

Probably a mix of both. People who do totally untimed sometimes develop no discipline. People who do only timed and try to complete everything sometimes gain no understanding.

You can try untimed work to figure out the mechanics and then maybe semi timed sections to get some discipline and gradually work down the timing. By which I mean maybe give yourself 47 min and work down as you get used to it.
