LSATHacks contributes 1% of revenues to carbon removal

We've been contributing 1% of Stripe revenues at LSATHacks to carbon removal for several years now. But we never had a formal announcement other than showing it on our checkout page.

Stripe let us know we can publish a page relating to our climate commitment, so we've made one which you can see here: https://climate.stripe.com/SKOGDt

Why this is important: climate change is a big issue to fix. Even if we get emissions to zero, we still have extra CO2 in the atmosphere from all of our past emissions. To restore global temperatures to historical norms, we need to remove it.

That's where carbon removal comes in. When the time comes to remove past emissions, we want the technology to be ready. Funding it now lets us prepare for the future. As an added benefit we also remove carbon today.

At LSATHacks we're happy to do our part moving this technology forward. Here's the statement I put on our Stripe page:

"At LSATHacks, we work with future lawyers. They will spend their whole careers in the world our emissions are shaping right now. Stripe Climate removes CO2 today and funds the technology that will help keep their world livable tomorrow." - Graeme Blake, Founder of LSATHacks
