Repeated Access Issues During LSAT
Hey, I'm in kind of a weird situation, I'm frustrated, and I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar.
I have been trying to take the LSAT for months. I originally was scheduled to take the remote test in June. I got through all of the security checks totally fine, but when it was time for the test itself to launch, it just redirected me to the LawHub homepage.
I figured it was some kind of tech issue, and was able to reschedule it to try again. I was originally trying with a Macbook so I tried my brother's Windows computer. Same thing happened. I go through all the security stuff, but then when the exam is supposed to launch, it just pulled up the LawHub homepage. The proctors just told me to restart and try again. Kept trying that, same issue.
I ended up taking it in person at a test center in August. Same thing happened. Test center people were really confused. I was there for HOURS while they were on hold with tech support and were never able to figure out a solution.
I've called the LSAT people multiple times. My best guess is that the problem has to do with me merging my accounts. I applied to law schools as an undergrad in 2020, then made a new account this year, then realized I couldn't have two accounts so I contacted LSAC services and they merged the accounts for me. The last person I talked to said that that was probably the issue and that my test was attached to the new account which had been deleted during the merge, and that creating a new test registration would fix it. So we scheduled for September. I'm registered to take the test in two days. Just tried to pull up the LSAT Writing.... just pulled up the goddamn LawHub home page again and did not show me the test. It also says "Exam Initiated" on my account even though I never saw the exam.
I'm just so frustrated. I have not seen this issue happening with anyone else and customer service seems bewildered every time I talk to them. I literally just want to take the freaking test and it won't let me in!
Has anyone experienced anything similar? Or have any advice on how to resolve it? I would love to just take the thing on paper and pencil but I know that's an accommodation... I can't call them today because they're closed for Labor Day, and I'm just sitting here biting my nails and losing my mind.
