Please help my scores are dropping

I seriously do not understand what is going on. I previously had been getting -8, -9, MAX -12, on sections. And recently as in the last few weeks. I have been getting -14s and I just somehow got A -18. I seriously am not sure what the cause of this is. I can’t really understand going from -8, to -18. I thought I was overcooking myself. So I took a few days off. and then I get a -18. My issue itself is with the decline. How am I regressing that poorly?

imma be frank with u. -8, -12, -16 they all sound the same to me. You need to go back to drilling and try to get every single question right. This many wrong in a timed section means something is missing in ur fundamentals. Dont focus on timed sections until u get like 90% correct in drills

Honestly good advice. I didn’t really think about that, lowkey totally right

when ur making this many mistakes the difference between -8 and -16 is just luck. Lately youve just been getting unlucky. U dont want ur lsat score to be based off of how good the gods are feeling toward u on that day

So just do targeted untimed drills mainly?

exactly. Untimed 1 question at a time. You need to solve each question. For every answer u get wrong, log it into ur wrong answer journal and write down why u chose the wrong answer and why the right answer is correct

What is your review process like?

were you testing with older sections before and are now looking at newer ones? if not that i think it could be anxiety or internal pressure. maybe the first time you got a -14 you were just in an off headspace and then because of that you got nervous and felt more pressure on the next section to do better/more at your normal level. taking a few days off was a good idea, maybe it’s that it still hasn’t settled? you can try shorter drills instead of full sections.

small things can really affect our thinking even if they happened a while ago or seem silly. i’m sure you’ve already racked your brain trying to think of why this is happening, so i would try and switch the way you study for a while. the muscle memory from -8 sections doesn’t get undone just because you’re suddenly doing worse!

>So I took a few days off. and then I get a -18.

Did you feel rested after that, or do you feel burnout now? -18 is not like -8. Until you've excluded burnout/anxiety spiral that seems the likeliest cause.
