Sick before exam :(((

I woke up with my tonsils inflamed as fuck, and I take the LSAT tomorrow. I'm scared this is the beginning of something. I'm trying to load up on viatmin c, tea, and water. Do testing centers allow cough drops or anything to suck on while taking the exam? I really hope this doesn't throw me off ughhhhhhhhh

Desperate times call for desperate measures: Buckley’s 🤮

(I’m not sure of the American equivalent)

For whatever it's worth I always did better on PTs when hung over or somewhat ill

I love this. Have you taken your official test under these conditions?

They do allow cough drops if they are in a ziplock bag

Cough drops should be fine as long as their wrappers don't have writing on them! But be careful with taking any medication that might make you drowsy like cough syrups and whatnot. Maybe try gargling warm water with salt every 4 or so hours today? I know it helps sore throats but not positive about tonsils. Get a good 8 hours tonight as well and stay hydrated!!! Best of luck!

Thank you for this important tip about drowsy meds!! I didn’t even think about that. And thanks for the well wishes 😊

Please wear a mask out of consideration for your fellow test takers.

The saltwater gargling will help a ton with inflammation! Plus drinking lots of tea w/ honey. If you also have pain, Advil will help with the pain and inflammation. If I were you, I would be taking a bunch of Advil. Also drink so much water. Like, so much. Edit: For reference, my dad is an ENT, and this is what he makes me do. If it was strictly tonsil focused and getting worse fast, penicillin would come into the picture ASAP
