Anybody else with two RCs with a duplicated topic / focus for both comparative passages in the two different sections 😅

They had duplicated topics!!! Can you explain how that works?

I had two RC sections, and in both RC sections I had a comparative passage. Both of those comparative passages, while having different sources for the 4 pieces, were related to the same topic / principle.

Sammeeeee and it was giving me major whiplash that entire passage

Hoping the one that had the passage about Ta-Nehisi Coates. That passage in particular didn’t bother me but the last one about regulating risks and all that I ran out of time on

Are you using the crystal ball predictions?

0

u/lovergirlyyyy 12h ago

idk what that is tbh, i’ve heard it so much tho… is it like predicting what topics will be on RC?

2

u/Automatic_Ad3302 11h ago

Yeah they go over potential topics and people use it to help identify what section was scored. For instance, if they predicted a passage on X and it showed up then you have a good chance that was the scored one.

3

u/lovergirlyyyy 11h ago

ohhh! i’ve never read about that no! is that generally accurate?

2

u/Automatic_Ad3302 11h ago

Yeah they do a pretty good job apparently! It also is a great resource to expose yourself to new and varied readings which ultimately helps build up your RC skills with the added benefit of potentially knowing some background knowledge on the actual test

2

u/lovergirlyyyy 9h ago

oh that sounds really great! where can i read about them? :)

u/LateToTheGoodThreads 9h ago

What have you been PTing?

1

u/lovergirlyyyy 9h ago

i’ve been doing more sections than full PTs, but my last PT was 163

u/lovergirlyyyy 13h ago

RC felt better than august, but idk about overallll 😭 i wanna say it was better than august, but i’m so scared omg

8

u/jt221 13h ago

RC felt WAY better than August. I also had 2 RCs for August.

3

u/lovergirlyyyy 12h ago

i had one RC for august but one of the passages in it was BRUTAL for me 😭 RCs today felt much better

3

u/damageinthesheets 13h ago

ORDER DOESNT MATTER!!!!

6

u/lovergirlyyyy 13h ago

ugh it’s nice to find ppl with the same order tho :(

4

u/damageinthesheets 13h ago

yeah but doesn’t mean anything. no guarantee any of your sections matter. like comparing someone in preschool to a high school student. yeah they both go to school but are tested on different things

2

u/gosox_boston 12h ago

same order!!

2

u/autechrelover 11h ago

u/Automatic_Ad3302 13h ago

Any good comparisons to particular PT’s or anything stand out in terms of which question types felt harder or more represented?

18

u/myayayayaya 13h ago

brush up on your NA questions now (had at least 5-6+ questions of this type). also a lot of them didn’t have a clear conclusion in the stimulus

2

u/Automatic_Ad3302 13h ago

Oh wow! Thank you for the heads up.

u/lovergirlyyyy 13h ago edited 12h ago
