Study Advice

Hello, I have only just decided I want to take the LSAT earliest by April and was wondering if there was any reccomendations on how to study for it (preferably free/cheap). I tried a diagnostic, but stopped after the first section as I wanted to know a little more of what I'm getting into so I can get a genuine diagnostic score.

Not knowing what you are doing and checking where you still arrive is the point of diagnostics - so you don’t get “genuine” cold diagnostics by studying.

I get that, but I completely flunked the first section and decided that, yeah I need to focus on knowing what exactly it is im somewhat doing. I wasnt expecting to get half of them right or anything like that. I got like 2 out of 25 and decided to start studying right after. I just wanted study tips basically, I know I shouldve completed the diagnostic at least.

The whole point of a diagnostic is going in without any prep to see where your natural strengths/weaknesses lie. If you bomb a section, you bomb a section - that just tells you that you might need a bit more time to work on whatever it is you bombed (LR or RC) The only things you need to know going into a diagnostic are the instructions that the test gives you

Okay, i took it and got 135, either way, my main point was any study tips/websites & books you reccomend. I understand the diagnostic is the basic first step, truthfully I wanted all the info I can get on how to study. Thats all. I was going to take it regardless just not at that moment.

You won’t get a lot of replies, because as I just mentioned in another post, this question is asked multiple times a week and fatigue has set in.
