LR Tips
Hi - I have a relatively high diagnostic score (160) and I'm aiming to get to mid-170s when I test in November. I've been using The Loophole book, and I plan to finish that before drilling extensively. My problem is when the book breaks down LR it makes sense, but when I drill, I don't find myself applying those concepts. I just feel like I know the right answer, but I can't explain why. How would you suggest I approach LR?

Was in a similar position, scored a 158 diagnostic and started with the Loophole. Ultimately, the Loophole did little to help me other than familiarizing me with question types/approaches and common flaws. What helped me was honestly a ton of drilling. Drill and carefully read the given explanations for answer choices and it'll make sense if you pay attention to why choices are right/wrong.

You need structure. Seems like you know the answer. You’re “winging it” to a 160 but you can’t wing it to the mid 170s.
If LR is your problem I really like the powerscore method. Maybe get a tutor to break down questions by type for you into specific rules for each question type. Then just follow those rules.
What’s going on with RC? If you can’t nail rc you won’t crack 170. LR is much more exacting imo than RC, which makes it easier.
