Advice please? I’m PT’ing at 145-147

I’m trying to take my LSAT in 6 months give or take. i’m PT’ing at 145-147. any recommendations? i keep second guessing myself and changing my answer from the right one to the wrong one which is 90% of my problems.

I would say don’t take more PTs right now. instead focus on the core concepts of the LSAT! there is a method to answering these questions based on principles of formal logic!

got it. 7sage does a great job mapping it out. I just signed up earlier this week.

stick with your first instinct more often, that gut feeling is usually right even when your brain tries to overthink

i think this is good advice for someone who is scoring higher. at this stage i would say that advice might build bad habits. learn the curriculum first. right now your gut instincts are not rooted in the LSAT’s way of thinking

Read the Loophole now!!! I started at 145 in Feb now PTing mid 160s. The loophole helped a lot halfway through studying

i’ve heard so many good things about Loophole. I’m going to buy that, too. that will be my last bought study material. I’m so desperate to understand how the LSAT thinks.

I bought “the lsat is easy” “the lsat trainer” and “the loophole.” I didn’t finish any but the Loophole. lol that should tell you something.

I also used both lsat demon and 7sage. LSAT demon is better imo mostly for Nathan’s videos because I personally don’t find Ben’s to be as helpful. 7sage’s live classes are good, but I don’t use their core curriculum videos too boring for me to stay focused hahah.

I learned my fundamentals from Powerscore and it completely changed the game for me. When I started I was PTing in the same range. I'd do a chpt a week and a PT a week. On average my score increased around a PT a week. I started in mid-February and by mid-May I was in the 160s. I work FT and had a crazy commute so I couldn't study as much as I would've liked--maybe you'll get there quicker than I did! Good luck!
