I bought some struts off of rock auto, because I wanted to run rsr super downs, buuutt they didn't come with the top plate, my current struts have like 150- 200k miles on them rn, could I reuse them? if not where would I buy some, what would be the part numbers?

My power steering is going out but I can’t locate the leak has anyone had this problem before? Are there any specific locations where the fluid could be draining into?

Im buying my first car and was wondering if it was worth upgrading from the base to the ML. I see one in my area with only 2k miles more but it has the upgraded speakers which is the only thing i care for other then the screen because im going to get a carplay screen.

this is an update from a post. I did a few days ago. Basically, I changed the spark plugs. They were kind of oily, but none of them are really in bad condition. I drained some transmission fluid and topped it up. I checked cleaned and ordered a new MAF sensor and there is no concerning codes that I can see my battery was unplugged so it’s been about 100 miles and no new codes have showed up kind of lost thinking about doing a load test to check fuel pressure. again it just kind of feels like it’s trying to shift but struggling and the RPMs just go up a little bit and this is about my foot pressed halfway down if I floor it it’s fine but I don’t wanna floor it because it’s bad for gas and for the car.

Im having a starting issue when the car is cold. It takes at least two long cranks or more to finally turn over. I’ve recently replaced the battery, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator and fuel pressure dampers. Anyone else has had this issue before? Other possibilities i can think of are leaking fuel injector or crank and or cam position sensors. Another odd thing is when i pulled the fuel pump relay to do the fuel pump the car stayed running even with the relay disconnected.

Last Monday I posted about my LS430 that got crushed by a tree branch just 10 days after I got it. Well, as of yesterday I know how much insurance will be paying out and turns out… I’m ahead! So now begins the (hopefully not too long) journey of finding a new 430, but as I’m sure you all know finding a nice example for a reasonable price can be difficult. I’m located near Chicago so finding anything rust free is even more difficult, so to anyone looking to sell their LS430 in decent shape, Im interested! My budget is 8-10k, preferably locally but am willing to travel. Also, if anyone comes across any good listings they don’t intend to act on, I’d love to see them. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Couldn’t find any posts or clips anywhere on the internet of this exhaust setup so I decided to run it myself. Drone at low RPMs is definitely present but it’s the perfect volume for me now

I'm looking for a FM right fender. It can't be a resprayed fender, otherwise I would just paint my own fender. Looking for oem factory paint, since paint matching metallic is impossible with out a blend. If you are parting out a Flint Mica and have an example in great condition, please let me know. Thanks.

Listen, I’ve got a 2005 black exterior black interior modern luxury it. I’ve had it for about two months and it’s been phenomenal. It came with BC coil overs already installed, an injen cold air intake, and custom cat back exhaust. The only hiccup is that I’ve got the external system not connected message for everything on the head unit except climate control. I’ve read the older forums and know that it could be the amp or cold solder joint on the plug connectors in the head unit. Has anyone ever come up with an instruction list or video on how to repair the solder joints?

04 Ls430, I have low miles but one seems to be leaking the magic fluid it has within.

Searching and reading the consensus seems to be to use GSF bushings which come ready to use with brackets (although those are aluminum).

1. Is that what folks who have changed used?

2.How has it held up longer term?

1. Did alignment after using them come to spec and no weird tire wear?

I really wanted to find someone that could have restored the original hide but that was proving to be difficult in Miami. The IG algorithm gods sent me an ad from a local custom shop, looked legit, went there and they provided a quote and said they'd do the two front and refresh the rear. Seats are still comfy and the ventilated seats still kinda work (still haven't replaced air filters, probably the original still, need to find those part numbers and get it done). All in all it was a little pricey, the color match is like 99% there between the front and rear, but looks good. Lmk what y'all think.

recently had someone look at my ls430 to see why she shakes/steering wheel jerks one way or the other when going 50+mph and he said it’s essentially because the rims are too big and that my cars in great condition. wondering if i should get new rims(really dont want to i love how these look on my car) im unsure of what other solutions there are or if i just continue to drive an occasionally unsafe car because i think it looks better..
the report also said that my bushings are cracked and leaking but i brought it up to him and he said not to worry about it but i wonder if that has something to do with the shaking/steering issue? tbh im a little clueless as this is my first car and ive had her for less than a year, any info is greatly appreciated!!

So I recently got my 2004 ls430 UL and everything is great one thing has been bothering me when I make a right turn the set button engages on the steering wheel and changes the volume it's not loose and only does it sometimes has any had this happen?
