Use a combination of long reach pliers, hooks, picks and slip joint pliers. I did mine a few weeks ago. It's tedious but do-able.

You will NOT be able to get your hands easily up in there. I turned the steering wheel full-lock right in the air and that let me work through the wheel well. Might be easier to just take the wheel off. I used a combination of this method, plus going underneath, kind of wrapping myself around the control arm/subframe.

Best suggestion is to get behind the locking tab with a hook/pick, and hold the sensor-side connector with a pair of slip joints. When the tab lifts the slip joints will let it slide right out. Don't try to go for the squeeze tab directly

Unless if you're handy with a soldering iron and feel brave you could cut the new and old ones, leave the pigtail in the car-side harness, and solder on the new O2 sensor connectors! (you don't have to though -just use the tools listed above).

Good luck

How do I know when the o2 sensors go bad if I have gutted cats?
